The people who run the dumb place wants him to work his magic to get all three of their resident merfolk to make a showing. Making it happen isn’t an issue, it’s why these people need it to happen. The second Denki hits the icy water, he realises that he’s going to die.
The waves are dragging him down, and he feels water filling his lungs every time he tries to take a gulp of air. He desperately attempts to fight the waves, to claw his way out, but he feels like an anchor sinking down into the dark volatile waters, and for the first time in his life, he feels completely alone. The will to fight starts to leave him as his body temperature drops and more freezing water fills his lungs, the burning pain of not being able to breathe overwhelming him.
He closes his eyes for the last time as he’s pulled under the surface and loses himself to the sea.
