Bestowed with a new life of luxury as thanks for his service to the kingdom, Link wanted nothing more than to return home - and return to the woman he'd fought through hell for. Deep in his heart, he knew he'd do whatever it would take. Even if it meant defying the laws of magic and time.

With every sunset, there must be a sunrise. After Midna leaves, Link and Zelda navigate a damaged Hyrule, legends of their past, and their new friendship. Link tries to forget his dear Twilight Princess and finds his place in a post-crisis world. Meanwhile, Zelda looks to her broken kingdom and must learn to juggle her role as regent as she creates enemies left and right. He calls her “miss”, and she's not used to having friends, but everything good has to start somewhere, right?
Or… Link and Zelda become soulmates/coworkers to friends post TP, Link is shy, Zelda is stressed, they send each other letters, manga influence, and it’s edgy because it’s Twilight Princess. The burn is SLOW but if you squint it's pretty obvious. Started: 10/15/2023. DAWNBREAK PLAYLIST🐺☀️

And yet somehow, after everything had been long concluded, he woke up to a collapsed Twili on his doorstep. Without thinking, he stepped in to help, and in doing so found a key to his old life thought abandoned.

An intense fight with an unexpected enemy sends the Links tumbling into a world steeped in darkness. Twilight must face his own long-ignored demons as he is forced back to his own village of Ordon, only to find it beset by threats long thought to be locked away and unable to harm anyone again. The story of his first journey to save Hyrule slowly begins to come to light as the Heroes work to protect the village, though the story seems to only raise more questions than answers. It is in the struggle against the infected monsters, in finding trust in one another, and in seeking out the shadowy figure looming over it all as a macabre puppet master, that true courage can be found. And it is a race against time to rescue all of Hyrule from being plunged into darkness.

After Midna leaves link and he gets gifted the shadow crystal. He has a hard time settling back down to life in the village. He is hurting and is sad but has no idea how to help himself. Being a hero at such a young age takes a toll on the boy. He eventually finds comfort but it takes awhile.

In the sleepy ranch town known as Ordon lived a girl. A girl with a strange ability that nobody could explain. She lived a relatively peaceful life with her family and her best friend, Link. But, as Twilight befalls the kingdom, Link and Ombretta have to manage how to go from simple children to heroes of their time. And for Ombretta for finally find the answers she had craved for so long.
(This follows the pace of the game with some bits and bobs changed here and there. I do not own the game, only Ombretta and her family. This is also cross-posted on tumblr but I kinda fell with that. I will try to keep a steady pace with posting)

Midna knows very little about the Light world. She knows that it’s warm, almost insufferably so. She knows her eyes hurt if she stays there for too long. And she knows that any attack from a being of the Twilight would be devastating to a being of the Light. But she’s never known much more than that. She never needed to.

The rancher had been poking around the clearing since practically the moment the portal had deposited them there, running his hand over the trees as he scanned the ground for something. He evidently had found whatever it was he was looking for, if the way he visibly perked up and crouched down was anything to go by.
A few seconds of rummaging through the undergrowth later, and Twilight straightened back up – a wide smile on his face and a plant in the shape of a horseshoe, of all things, in his hand.
