Summary
Once upon a time, the world had promise, and life. Then the Helium Wars happened, and for a moment, it seemed like both were gone. But out in the desert, hope manages to survive.
Once upon a time, there were four young men who traveled around the desert, fighting crime against the evil Battery City and their Draculoid agents. They were accompanied most often by a young Girl with a boom box.. and occasionally an older girl with a spark in her eye.
9 years ago, there was a horrible accident. The older girl was terribly injured, and the younger was kidnapped. The four men were able to find and save them both, at the cost of their own lives.
9 years have passed, and the two young women have grown up. The Zones are in much better shape than when they were young, but the threat from Battery City continues to loom. Folks go missing. Supplies appear in strange places. A few people develop abilities. And something is keeping the occupants of the Zones from seeing what's on the Outside.
The desert holds memory. Memory will be the key. And sisterhood will be the salvation.

With alternating narrations between my OC Solar Blood, Party Poison and Fun Ghoul, the Killjoys go on what may be their final mission, with only half of the crew, juggling the task of searching for their other teammates, taking care of The Girl, and.. Deep in the City's back alleys and shady corners of the Lobby, A rebel band called Habromania perform,hoping to fuel the fire of the revolution. Until one night the lead singer Matthew "Orion" Hellows and his band have to make a quick getaway to the Zones, where danger,death and destiny await.
As the band is shadowed by a formidable exterminator known only as "Bright-Eyes", the unlikely crew of the aggorant Orion, his laid backed partner Static , the level-headed Mayday, An rusty-throne punk Killshot and the trigger-happy Pixie Dust have to quickly adjust to the cutthroat rules of the desert.
Then Orion meets a teen hiding from a terrible past with the company he's running from and he realises that it's time to join the firefight for greater good.

“Great.” None of them liked this new ‘joy. Ghoul’s personal grievance is that the guy clearly didn’t have a sense of humour, but for everyone else, it was mostly the whole leeching off their supply heist to steal some supplies of their own thing that pissed them off. It’s not like they weren’t going to share or anything, there was plenty to go around, but the asshole didn’t need to show them up like that. Climbing vans like one of those heroes in the comics Party shows him sometimes. Show off.
“We need a name for ‘em.”
“I really don’t think we need to give the guy a name-” Jet says.
“Of course, the guy needs a name! What? Are we just gonna keep calling them ‘they guy’? We don’t even know if they are a guy, asshole.” Jet rolls his eyes at Party’s observation.
“Got any ideas then, genius?” Ghoul asks. Party thinks for a moment.
“Acid Rat.”AKA The Fabulous Killjoys are pissed about the new 'joy stealing their thunder. Fun Ghoul decides he will resolve this by getting his ass handed to him and he falls in love about it.
