Desperate for tuition money, Dream stumbles upon a flyer for a drug trial. Three weeks, easy money. He hopes he'll get the placebo anyway, but even if he doesn't, there shouldn't be any lasting effects.
Unfortunately, they lied.
He wakes up, but he isn't him anymore. Given his new shapeshifting abilities, the scientists who administered the drug trial experiment to see just how far his powers can go.
Desperate to escape, Dream enlists the help of another captive with similar abilities. He finds that he can speak telepathically to him, and together they plot their escape.
As they work together, he discovers there is more to him than meets the eye. His friend, someone who he was close to, is behind the development of the drug. Now he has to decide if the man he's befriended is to be trusted or will eventually betray him.
TL;DR - Dream signs up for drug testing, gets kidnapped and develops powers

Summary
After dying and being revived, Tommy can see the ghosts of the Dream SMP. Not like Ghostbur or Glatt, but the actual spirits. Schlatt was connected to Quackity and Wilbur was connected to him. Whenever the spirits wanted to show themselves, that’s where Ghostbur and Glatt come in, but Wilbur’s emotional state at his death messed up Ghostbur’s memory of things.
When one day, he crosses paths with Techno and is shocked to see Dream floating behind, who Tommy knows isn’t dead and should be in prison.
