Hank always found it hilarious how Connor never got any of his jokes.
But during a long, exhausting shift at the precinct, Hank finally faced the day when Connor actually did understand his sense of humor.
And suddenly, Hank didn’t know how to feel… except maybe that he was being a little too dramatic or in his defense reasonably dramatic.

CyberLife’s newest gamble isn’t hardware —it’s immersion. Phantom: a fully integrated virtual world where humans and androids can live second lives, fulfill fantasies, and feel everything as if it were real. It’s still experimental, and human testers are too valuable to risk. So they put out a call for android volunteers.
Inside, everything changes. No LED. No thirium. Red blood in their veins, a heartbeat in their chest. Hunger. Fatigue. Laughter that feels… warm. In here, androids aren’t machines — they’re people.

Summary
Devastated from the death of Alice just when they were on the cusp of freedom, Kara returns to Detroit to channel herself into something productive rather than allowing herself to be consumed by grief.
As the story begins, she's serving as a leader of the newly formed Android Right Coalition (ARC), alongside Markus, Connor, and North. The situation is stressful, as Cyberlife has founded a new headquarters in Memphis, and they're producing new "Forever Faithful" android models who are unable to be converted to deviants (so far). The Warren Administration is dragging their feet on federal legislation covering android rights, and other states are delivering deviants to Detroit as they purchase the "Forever Faithful" replacements, creating heavy demand for biocomponents and blue blood.
In an attempt to gain leverage in negotiating with the ARC, Cyberlife attempts to entice the androids to drop their campaign for federal android rights legislation in exchange for the technology to resurrect their kind from the dead. Kara finds the offer extremely tempting... perhaps a bit too much so.

Summary
Post Android Revolution, Detroit, a city of progress and change, is the home of co-existing humans and androids. However, it appears there's a darker truth being harboured by the city's own governance, in ties with multiple organisations; all unknown.
Gavin still has an aggressive, abrasive manner yet sharp instincts; he often alienates his colleagues with his harsh words, but he gets results.
Alongside him is Connor, the first deviant android detective. Previously designed to assist in investigations of his own species, Connor has a calm demeanour and an analytical mind. Yet, this doesn't make up for the journey of being deviant; his lack of emotional understanding often puts him at odds with Gavin.
The two, paired together to investigate the case, must find the ability to work together.
Will they be able to overcome the challenges thrown their way? This story contains explicit and heavy themes. Please read the tags and take care in reading if you continue.

Recurrence: (noun) a new occurrence of something that happened or appeared before.
What do you do when your child dies? What do you do that night? Or the night after? Or any night any number of years down the line? Hank does what he can. He survives- and he trudges through every languished second of it. He drinks. He tempts fate. And yet he always wakes up the next morning. At least he has the good graces to feel bad about it.

Summary
Androids rose up and were beat down. Markus is dead. Now comes Cyberlife's cure for the deviancy crisis, a collar. Deviant or not, now androids have no choice but to obey their humans or experience a painful, processor fried death.
When Connor is finally collared, it's pure happenstance Gavin Reed comes into an android resale store for a case and buys Connor as, what Connor believes, a sick joke.
Confronted with being a housebot for the first time in his life, and owned at that, Connor struggles to find his place with the collar around his neck. Gavin's unkind, hostile, and refuses to help Connor's adjustment, that is, until Gavin can't ignore Connor's suffering anymore.

Summary
Life isn't easy, and learning that definitely takes more energy then they would have thought.
Connor has been assigned case after case, resting for what seems seconds, right before getting handed more assignments.
His now husband, Markus, has also been going nonstop with all the political things that apparently come with their newly found freedom.
Thanks to some very, very gentle threats from Hank and his brothers towards Fowler, and Jericho's co-leaders, they find themselves with a hard earned, week off.
Well... definitely hard.

Summary
Three years after the Deviants’ Peaceful Uprising, Detroit is no longer the same city. Humans and androids coexist, but the peace is fragile, and old prejudices hide behind polite smiles and seemingly quiet streets.
Connor, now a deviant free to make his own choices, lives with Hank, his former partner and father figure, in a routine made of small daily gestures and moments of quiet normalcy. But their stability is tested when a series of murders strikes newly liberated androids, leaving disturbing messages: “You are not real.”
Forced to work with a new detective, Connor must not only solve a case full of puzzles and eerie symbols but also confront questions that go beyond logic: what does it truly mean to live? And what does it mean to feel?
