“Five minutes,” Ryuji tells him. Akira’s expression doesn’t change, but he doesn’t protest either, merely shutting the car door. Ryuji crosses the parking lot as indicated, hands shoved into his pockets. He comes to a stop perhaps a few yards out from the building, allowing Akechi to close the rest of the distance, watching him with his jaw clenched so he won’t scowl. Akechi lacks any of his usual swagger as he stops in front of Ryuji, visible discontent playing in his eyes as he shifts his weight to peer over his shoulder.
“Listen,” Akechi says, and then stops. Smart of him, because there’s no shot Ryuji hears him out after the call he just got from Akira. “Whatever he tells you—”
“Dude, do not make me hit you right now,” Ryuji fires back. Akechi shuts his mouth and looks away. He looks—ashamed, which isn’t a look Ryuji is used to on his pristine, perfect features. It sort of pisses him off more than anything, which doesn’t eliminate the desire to sock him.
“Right,” Akechi says, and sighs. “Just look after him, would you?”
God, this guy pisses Ryuji off!
