His shaky steps were heavy, like his weary bones were replaced with crumbling concrete. Despite the lack of a championship belt slung over his shoulder, he has never felt more weighed down. Despite the lack of a companion at his side, he's never felt more suffocated. The eyes of fellow wrestlers and crew left blisters on his black and blue skin. As he shoved open the door to his private locker room, he noticed that Adam’s stuff was gone. All of it.
