Sam liked to think of himself as the kind of person who could learn from his mistakes. He liked to think of himself as someone who could accept criticism and incorporate it into what he was doing, as someone who could take a hint. But here he was, again, throwing himself headfirst into something with no exist strategy.
Josh had been in D.C. for a few years and was known pretty much universally in Washington as one of the brightest young staffers. Yet somehow, he felt like he should be doing more.
