The memories from past adventures have accumulated, scaring not only his body but his mind. He slowly starts deteriorating, will he ask for help? Or will he suffer alone?

After Sonic's six months on the Death Egg (a few extra days), Sonic comes to Shadow to have sex. This is normal; it was a habit before the war happened. But Sonic isn't being normal about it. He clearly isn't in the mental place for any of this, but under threat of Sonic going to someone who won't care about him, Shadow decides to give Sonic what he wants, if only to make sure he's well-taken care of in the end.
Or, as I said in the tags, Sonic tries to have rough and unsafe sex and Shadow loves him too much to do that

Sonic is struggling to accept Maddie as his mother. After his mission in movie 2 was so connected to Longclaw it's hard for him to allow himself to love her. What if he lets her in too much and accidentally lets go of the love he felt for Longclaw? He has to push her away as hard as he can until he breaks it.. it hurts more than he thought.
