“I loved him, Sandstorm,” He said, his voice barely louder than a kit’s first whispered word. The pale ginger she-cat just shook her head.
“Firestar, I know. Any cat with a pair of working eyes could see the way you two looked at each other. It never hurt me, knowing how close you were. I know that if I hadn’t said something, I would’ve lost you to him. And I would’ve been happy for you,”
The leader blinked. Was he really that obvious? Perhaps he’d worn his emotions on his paws more as an apprentice and a warrior, but he hoped, as leader, he was more collected. The orange tabby sighed, sitting up and grasping the previously discarded thrush between his teeth, taking a small, tentative bite. He hadn’t even realized it, he was starving.
He sat beside his mate, the air quiet and calm, taking slow bites until the thrush was gone. He got to his paws and stretched.
“I’m going for a walk,” He didn’t wait for a reply before leaving the den.-----
Firestar is processing after Graystripe's vigil. Meanwhile, a certain gray tom is trekking toward the Lake Territories...

Summary
**Spoilers for Burning Thistles Chapter 144 "Pack Pack Kill Kill" in Summary and Tags**
Swiftpaw was often a mouse-brain, but his sister Lynxpaw thought that for once he had a very solid idea - track down whatever was stealing prey in ThunderClan, and become heroes. Sure, she thought it was an even better idea to fight the dogs, but who could blame her? She'd come out victorious against RiverClan, and she was incredibly bitter Bluestar ignored her in favor of "kitty-cursed" Cloudtail. She was riding high with the need to shed blood.
She'd never imagine she'd never become a warrior in the worst way possible.
Dead, Lynxpaw arises to StarClan, mourns the lose of her life, and finds comfort in a face she'd never thought she'd see again.
