Summary
If Uncle hadn't insisted on making Zuko wait tables filled with giggling girls, this wouldn't have happened. If the damn Water Tribe peasant hadn't heard about the amazing new tea shop, this wouldn't have happened. If Zuko didn't come up with such terrible ideas while panicking, this wouldn't have happened. Though honestly, Zuko probably would've fucked up somehow anyway, so what was the point in griping?

Summary
Modern AU. The one thing Zuko has managed to hang onto over the years is his starring role in musical theater. When his father’s arrest results in him and Azula moving to be with their uncle in Ba Sing Se, though, the local high school has already started casting for the spring production of Cinderella--and the star role of Prince Charming is taken. But Cinderella herself remains un-cast.
... Never let it be said that Zuko would let anything stand in-between him and musical theater, let alone something like gender roles.

Summary
There are many bad things about this year's theater program. One, they're doing Seussical: The Musical. Two, no one wants to audition. Three, their director is garbage. If Katara was anyone else, she would've been discouraged. However, she will not be easily torn away from her dream of performing with her brother. It will take a lot more than that to dampen her spirits.

Summary
Being on the run is bad enough, but at least they have an Ostrich Horse now. Unfortunately, that doesn't help them make money, and Zuko has to endure begging with Uncle on the streets and put up with jerks who swing swords at (seemingly) defenseless old men.
Or does he?
Meanwhile, the Gaang is braving a very different Omashu than they remember. Aang is faced with the realization that his last old friend had fallen to the Fire Nation, just like everyone else he had remembered. He does have new friends now though, and new promises. He told Zuko that he would remember that the Fire Nation soldiers were people too, and as much as he didn't want to, this was a good place to start.

Summary
"His mom had given him a diary.
No, not a diary–– a journal, she had specified. He knows it’s a diary. Zuko thinks she only called it a journal because she thought that Zuko wouldn’t use it if she said otherwise. A diary is for feelings and angst, but a journal was for working through your problems without all that mushy, gushy stuff. It was for writing out simply what was in your head, nothing more, nothing less."
or, zuko through the years, struggling with himself and his sexuality.

Summary
Zuko just wants to live his life in peace, but after a horrible fire broke out in his home when he was eleven years old, the gossip mill around town got out of control and blamed Zuko for the fire that permanently scarred his face. A few years later, when their school burns down, several students claim he was the cause of it, officially branding him as the town firebug.
Now at the age of 24, working in his Uncle's cafe, Zuko is burdened by an accusation he was innocent of and is followed around by claims of arson when a string of suspicious fires breaks out over the span of several years. Officer Zhao is determined to arrest the young man on these unfounded charges, meanwhile Sokka and the rest of the Southern Water Fire Department believe Zuko's pleas of innocence. Determined to get to the bottom of this once and for all, and free Zuko of eight years of blame so that he can finally try to move on and live a peaceful life, Chief Hakoda, Lieutenant Bato and Sokka may discover much more than they bargained for and just may put Zuko's life at stake.

Summary
The very first time his mother takes him to the theatre at age eight, Zuko is in love with it. It’s a play called Weep for the Night that they attend at the Sunset City Theatre just outside of the capital city and it’s beautiful. Zuko finds himself leaning forward over his knees, eyes wide with fascination, barely staying on his seat as he watches. He remembers the stories his mother will read to him sometimes, but even though she does the voices, it’s nothing compared to the swelling orchestra, intricate costumes, strategic lighting, and sculpted dialogue of the theatre.
Zuko's love for theatre and some snippets of plays that were particularly influential to him from his very first play to The Boy in The Iceberg.

Summary
the thing is, it was really meant to only be a visit; if it went to plan they would've been back four years ago. but, this is sokka's life so of course things don't go to plan. he was meant to tell zuko they were leaving.
he genuinely intended to tell him after packing. there was just so much panicking about gran-gran and nervous excitement over going back home in such strange circumstances that telling zuko slipped his mind.
aka, sokka moves away five years ago.

Summary
Except for this one guy. He has shaggy hair and a scar that covers the entire side of his face. Ouch. He comes in the shop once a week, stacks up on Cup Of Noodles and occasionally pain medication or scar cream, then disappears for the rest of the week and comes back the next. It’s quite the routine seeing him. Sokka knows this about him (with the help of Toph): He has a bookbag he brings whenever he goes to the store that's full of shirts and such. The scar is probably old, Toph tells him not to bring that much attention to it, and it probably wasn’t an accident. He has a sister. He should be in school but they’ve never seen him there at all. Now, it could be weird they were piling this much information on him but he’s literally their only customer. It’s something to do while they are waiting for shifts to end. See, maybe if he was blessed enough to be somewhat interested in whatever med textbooks Katara loves dearly—they wouldn’t be analyzing this poor guy.
(November is a pretty bad month for Sokka: Zuko makes it better somehow)
