Tim Drake watched Batman fall, now as he watches Dick Grayson take up the mantle, he knows he needs to help. He just doesn't know how.

Tim finds himself vaguely grateful for the solid back of the shelf, he was already gonna be one big bruise, the landing could have been worse.
Sounds of fighting erupt behind him, and he tilts his head back to get a look at the commotion. Batman is there, expertly taking down the goon before they can take advantage of Tim's stunned state. Tim gets a little thrill of excitement, seeing Batman fight, quickly replaced by dread.
Oh he was in trouble.

Great, he nearly died in the stupidest way possible, and there was a witness.
“Hang on!”, the voice whisper shouted, voice bouncing off the hard concrete that made up a good portion of Gotham's infrastructure. The fire escape began to shake minutely- the witness was climbing up to him. Not good. Strangers in Gotham were never good.

Most people would run far away from that situation.
Instead, Tim rocked up to the Iceberg Lounge at 2.30pm on a Wednesday, a fresh set of dye in his hair, his favorite jean booty shorts with sequin stars on the back pockets, and a dream.

Jason stared at Tim, eyes wide and surprised, darting around the dark hallway, over the Manor's plush carpet and souvenirs from various digs.

So when he noticed a familiar boy sitting across the aisle on his plane to Ethiopia, Tim started to wonder if something big was about to happen.
