“Really?” Lance intertwines their fingers, squeezing excitedly with an actual smile dancing around his face. “You won’t?”
Shiro’s eyes flutter for a brief moment, rubbing his thumb along the side of his hand. Then his expression clears, brightening up with a twin smile of his own.
“I won’t,” Shiro breathes out. “We’ll keep this secret, just between the two of us, forever, okay?”
Lance hurriedly nods, letting Shiro release his hands to wrap him up in a warm hug.
“Oh,” Shiro whispers, in a way that makes Lance think that he’s not supposed to hear it. “You’re so soft.”
(As Lance's family falls apart under his parent's continual fighting, he finds solace in the strange friendship he builds with the school nurse and his son, but as things continue to worsen at home, the more Lance becomes entangled in Shiro's webs of secrets. But he doesn't mind - not when he knows that he'll be loved all the same.)

Summary
Lance returns to Keith’s bag, sets himself slowly to his knees as he opens the main compartment. He starts talking about something, laughing, but Keith doesn’t register what he says as his sleeve slips slightly over the smooth arc of his shoulder. Keith can’t help the groan that escapes him.
“Lance,” he says, pleads, and Lance stops his cheery little story. In the silence, Keith takes in how ruffled and open Lance has become, no doubt due to the alcohol. He’s a little breathless, cheeks and shoulders flushed a deep pink, and Keith lets out a long, drawn out sigh. “You’re killing me.”
Lance stiffens slightly. He looks up, meets Keith’s gaze. He’s wearing the same expression he always does when he’s confused—the pinched brows, the small jut of his lower lip as he pouts. Lance doesn’t even know he does it, and to Keith, that makes it all the more endearing.
“What do you mean?” he asks quietly.
“Killing me,” Keith whispers, rests his head in his hands.

A year and a half ago, Keith Kogane left Lance McClain in a room at New Altea's castle, and hasn't spoken to him since, believing he had destroyed what relationship they could've had because he'd been too impatient.
A year and half later, Lance McClain and his daughter go missing, and Keith is called in to help with the search. Dread in his heart, both at the fact his best friend was missing and that he had started a family, Keith goes back to Earth, determined to bring a family back together even if it hurt.

In Lance’s cupped hands rests the biggest wasp Hunk has ever seen. Its body and legs are a bright blue-green, and its huge wings are a frightening shade of orange. Its stinger is long and large enough to be visible and also very sharp. The insect takes up Lance’s whole hand.
“Wow, an adult tarantula hawk wasp! Just buzzin’ around!” Lance’s voice sounds completely awed, and he’s also completely oblivious to Hunk’s mute terror. He knows about these wasps. Lance talks about them frequently — they are known for having the most painful sting of any bug in the insect kingdom.
And Lance is holding it. With his bare hands.
