“Yeah,” Zach nods. “Sheri and Tony did it last time but they can’t miss anymore school, so he asked me. But, I’m already your babysitter so he’s gonna have to deal with it himself.”
Alex punches his arm. “Fuck you. Clay doesn’t have a lot of patience for Justin,” he points out.
“No,” Zach agrees. “They’re definitely gonna kill each other.”
“I could do it.”

Clay Jensen, with a well-intended and good heart, is shot dead by Tyler Down. He was going to do what he was supposed to, what Hannah wanted—help the struggling, but his body was laying on the concrete sidewalk, the colorful lights of a school dance emanating on his face, choking on his own blood with a bullet wound to the neck.
It wasn’t his time yet. He wakes up in Jessica’s room the night of her party with the chance to do what he was supposed to and make things right.
OR:
Tyler kills Clay at the end of the season 2 finale, and Clay wakes up the night of Jessica’s party in the room with Hannah.
