"He usually didn’t drink much (almost never, in fact), but the Dregs had finally won over a bit of extra territory that he had become personally invested in. It was rare now for him to care so much about a mere territory dispute, but then he had been stabbed by a Razorgull, and the scar had become so itchy that he decided to make an exception. And Kaz was far from the only Dreg sporting itchy scars, so it wasn't long before celebratory drinks had turned into something far more unruly.
Kaz wasn't sure why he joined this time, but when Jesper offered, he'd agreed within seconds. Luckily, it only took two and a half drinks for him to realize that a large part of him was exhausted of fighting against the things that might make him... happy.
