A chipper voice calls out as Eskel veers to the left out of the classroom and starts down the dull beige hallway, his work boots scuffing against the dark mottled carpet.
"Have a wonderful day!"
Slowing, he looks over his shoulder. Standing just to the right of the door he'd come from is a bright man whose arms are fully occupied balancing a stack of stapled papers, a gallon sized ziplock bag full of yellow Starbursts, a cell phone, and an obnoxiously large iced coffee. He wears a toothy smile, dipping his head slightly in greeting.
Eskel just gives him a quick nod before continuing on his way.
OR: Eskel, professor of zoology, finds himself meeting Jaskier, professor of music, two days a week. Summary
My runaway/orphanage non-jedi au.
Obi-Wan and Quinlan are orphans who grew up together, but they get adopted and separated by the galaxy. One day, Obi-Wan runs away from his home when he's grown sick of his abusive adoptive father. He just so happens to run away to Mandalore, where he meets a hoard of concerned, worried Mandalorians.
Oh, and he has a Quinlan on his tail too.

Summary
Mandalorians had this odd sense of humour where they liked watching strangers get teary eyed from eating the spiciest dishes.
“Familiar with pirpaak ?”
“Not this particular one, but familiar enough to know what to expect.” Ben replied.
Food was an important part of Mandalorian culture. Aliite tended to have conflict over whose dish was the better recipe. It was like Jedi and their tea blends.
“Where did you have it?”
“Sundari.” Ben replied, “It was a lifetime ago.”
“Ughh, Sundari’s drap? What’s the name of the place?”
“I am unsure, though it might have been a bit spicier than this one.” Ben hid a smile at the outrage that followed his claim by taking another bite. Pretending not to notice the chaos he had caused, Ben glanced at the Mand’alor who was watching him in amusement.
“Ever visited Keldabe?”
Ben hid a laugh. “Only ran through it, really.”
“What a shame. I will show you around.” Jaster offered.
Ben smiled, “I would not say no to that.”
—-In which Ben Kenobi realises that it was only fair if the Sith actually had a player sitting on the opposite side of the invisible chessboard they had created.
