The researcher, named Cita Ventura, had spent two years and eight thousand dollars of grant money running across the globe in order to answer a deeply burning question: Which Vampire clans fucks the best?
Here is the answer to that question, in the form of a long-winded, anecdotal ranking of every clan, based entirely on how well they can get it up around an eccentric lesbian mage.

“Make up for all the weird salt water, and as our servant-

“Help with our study.” She finishes briskly, “wait, what?”
“Didn’t you finish the book?” She snaps.
“I mean, I skimmed the important parts, women come onto to land to play and then put their skin back on to go to sea, blah, blah, capture their seal skin.”
“And they’ll marry you and bare you lots of children.”
“Bare you lots of…” Peridot can feel the blood drain from her face.

The grubs are instinctively able to mimic the calls and pheromones of their new brothers and sisters, so the parents think it's one of their own. The drones will even try to sneak into human maternity wards, but the reception staff are trained to be alert for this.
