"The O is silent," she eeks out before Loona remembers to shut the fuck up, actually. She's just got in engrained from receptionist duty, correcting clients before they meet with the man in question.
Fizz, for his part, doesn't seem to be listening. He stares blankly into space a moment. "I have a niece. Holy shit." He starts shaking her again. "I HAVE A FUCKING NIECE AND NO ONE TOLD ME?"

MK began to wash the shampoo out of Red Son’s hair, using one hand to pour water out of the basin and the other to block the soap from slipping down into his eyes. It was a small act, but one that showed a careful attention to detail that MK rarely showed to anything at all. It was the sort of sweet gesture that told Red Son he was cared for by MK, that he was loved.
“Oh.” He whispered. “I’m hallucinating you.”
(Or, MK takes care of a very sick Red Son and tries to convince him that he’s not a hallucination. Canon compliant up to Season 3)

… No response. The younger one didn't even move. That… was abnormal. Perhaps worrying. A little.
"MK? You're doing okay there pal?"
Still no response. No movement. And deep down, Macaque had the feeling it wasn't a weird joke.
Or, MK unconsciously seeks help from Macaque, and the shadow demon does his best to help.

“What’s going on?”
Macaque grabbed his panel from the shadows- and again, she had no clue how that even worked- and pushed a few buttons.
The speakers creaked, before coming online.It sounded like complete chaos.
It took her a few seconds to identify the voice through all that noise, the sound so faded in her memory it took a while to get to.
“Spider Queen? That silly old creature.” Princess Iron Fan frowned. “I have not heard from her in years. How could she possibly pose a threat?”
“Perhaps she is allied with someone.”
Something close to static came out of the speakers and her frown deepened. It sounded like something big was moving through the city.
Something mechanical.
Something… interesting.
Princess Iron Fan turned to face Macaque, eyebrow raised and a smirk on her lips. “Perhaps this is a better use of our time, don’t you think?”
He snorted, pulling out a bottle of wine and two glasses with a flourish. “Do you really have to ask?”

Having lived through everything he had, this part always felt silly. The sitting, the breathing, and the waiting. His life was in no danger. That the logic of that wasn't enough on its own to ease the pain-- or flush out the stress that made his hands shake-- was as unfair as it was ridiculous. Baser instincts that kept a creature alive were vestigial at best when that creature existed beyond the normal laws of mortality, and yet every demon was still bound to them.
Many could avoid fate. But not even heaven, nor its equals, could escape fear.-
Macaque is invited along to celebrate the new year, and errs on the side of proving a point.
