“Idiot” Nancy mumbles as she brings her hands up to caress Robin's face gently with her thumbs, tears that had been brimming in her eyes falling loose, “I can’t, I already lost a friend, I can’t lose you too, please Robin don’t leave me, please don’t leave me, I don’t- I can’t, I-I don’t want you to go” Nancy pulls her closer, so close she’s afraid she might break her. “this can’t be happening, Robin I-’’ a sob escapes her, whispering so low only Robin could hear, “I need you” she cradles Robin’s head with one hand as she hides her face in the crook of Robin’s neck breathing her in like she won’t be able to ever again. “Please.”
When Robin gets vecna'd something inside Nancy breaks. The two become close due to Nancy's need to keep an eye on Robin, when she vows the upside down won't take another friend from her. Robin is confused and flustered at Nancys new attitude and clinginess.

Robin balked at that, mouth gaping and a laugh tearing from her chest almost maniacally. But Nancy remained steadfast. She made her sincerity quite clear as she set the bottle to the side and climbed forward so she sat upright, on bent knees and beckoning for Robin to do the same. Robin was never one to disobey Nancy Wheeler, and she dare not start now.
Mirroring Nancy, Robin leaned forward before she lost her nerve entirely. Gentle, soft, and quick, with the faintest smack of lips as she pulled back. Nancy’s eyes dragged open, and the corner of her mouth quirked upwards.
“What are we, twelve?” Nancy goaded her. “I said show me, Buckley.”
