Summary
A human child is adopted and raised by a high blooded alien who attempts to insinuate himself into human politics, having been farsighted enough to see which way the wind was blowing. He intends to raise the thing as a pawn to push pro alternian ideals but he ends up actually loving his brilliant, alien son.
Also because aliens do not know how to infant he gets a nanny.Boy if this isn't the weirdest Mary Poppins AU ever written.

An enterprising woman named "Scarlet Hasselti" CEO of the Lactrodectus corporation disapproves of the deepening relationship between Earth and Alternia, seeing where congressman Whiteman failed she decides to enact a more subtle approach.
Scarlet Hasselti has decided to adopt a grub.

Being found guilty for murder is pretty bad as a human. It’s even worse when you’re sent to a troll prison after you’ve been charged with mass murder of trollkind like some deranged serial killer and everyone there hates you.
You think, by far, the worst part about this whole thing is you are 100% certain you’re innocent and you can either live there by the skin of your teeth or try to escape.
Oh, and there’s a monster in the basement.
