Summary
Alpha Trion, one of Optimus’s siblings goes missing, right before his coronation as the prime.
Optimus sneaks out of the palace and goes on a journey to find his brother (and to maybe delay his crowning. Hopefully.)
Disguised as an archivist named Orion Pax seeking his mentor, Optimus meets many new friends on his journey, like Megatron, whose face suspiciously looks exactly like the mob boss of the notorious Decepticons on Cybertron’s most used WANTED poster, or Jazz, who may or may not be a top-notch assassin, or Ultra Magnus, who looks and talks and acts like a knight…
Can he keep his true identity a secret, even as he’s trying to find a missing mech, obtaining true love, and when his dear siblings are trying to catch him?
Maybe. Just maybe… if he could get rid of this depressing depression first. That would just be nice. Thanks, Primus.

Summary

“I guess I’ve gained quite the reputation in some circles,” Orion said as he thickly swallowed the rest of high-grade clinging to his glossa. “I’m experienced, even if I may not look the part.” Megatronus hummed, seemingly pleased with the answer. Orion wasn’t in the habit of discussing his private life with strangers or colleagues, especially considering what said part of his private life pertained to, but the expression on the gladiator’s face was void of judgment, and he allowed himself to relax.
“We really do have the same profession. I wouldn’t have guessed,” Megatronus replied, lying back on the couch of the crappy bar. The scraping sound of well used iron-furniture made Orion grimace.
Or, Megatronus, a gladiator working on the side as a hitman, and Orion Pax, an archivist and sugar baby, misunderstand each other as having the same job when they get hired to infiltrate a Senator's party.

As the two stories slowly collide the truth will finally come out. For as they say, there are three sides to every story.

The night before they depart, Pure Vanilla stumbles upon a breakthrough. A book, burned and scarred from the ages, but detailing the proper steps to starting a relationship. Dating back to Shadow Milk’s time, perhaps this will let him break past the other’s shell and finally make have the other take him up on his offer of friendship! All he has to do is follow these steps, and they should be friends in no time, as the book says!
Shadow Milk, for his part, is thrown by his counterpart suddenly flipping the script and trying to woo him.

The Beltane Festival is celebrated every first full moon in May to mark the turning of spring into summer. Crops and cattle are blessed, flowers are strewn over every head, and harvest sacrifices are made to appease the Fae, the Aos Sí. The Maypole Dance is one of the most famous traditions. Opponents test who can dance the longest and win the blessings of the Fae. The local shepherd has participated many times, yet he has consistently failed to win.
One fateful Beltane morning, the Amadán Dorcha, the Dark Fool, demands for more than a harvest sacrifice. At the same time, the shepherd struggles to dance on a narrow ribbon between freedom and loneliness.

“You don’t have to be lonely.. I’m right here.” Shadow Milk watched Vanilla’s eyes gloss over as he spoke, as if he endlessly longed for him. Like something deeper was left unsaid— and reached out a hand to him.
“Please. Let me be your.. friend.”A deafening ringing consumed Shadow Milk’s awareness. A dark shroud of anger took over his features as his dark magic whipped wildly around him, just to burn in Pure Vanilla’s light. He swatted Vanilla’s hand away and shouted things he didn’t truly mean— words crafted to guard himself and hurt the man in front of him, sentences he could no longer even remember.
Even in the end, Vanilla begged for him to see the light. He told him it could be another way— that he didn’t want to fight him.
All up until Black Sapphire and Candy Apple came to his rescue and they made their escape.
In the time since— one question rang louder than all else in Shadow Milk’s head.
If he had been strong enough, would he really have killed him? Was he truly capable of hurting someone so traitorous, so lovely, so pure?

Pure Vanilla Cookie suddenly finds himself thrust back in time, in the center of the city governed and created by the Sage Of Truth himself.
His time is limited seemingly by random. Sometimes he has a day, week, or month. But when his time is up, he's thrown farther and farther forward. It's becoming clear that he will have to witness the creation of Shadow Milk Cookie, as well as his imprisonment.
And he knows he can never warn him even as their friendship grows.
The first half of this takes place in the past from pure vanillas perspective. The second half takes place shortly after Pure Vanilla's friendship offer is rejected. It's mostly Smilk's perspective.
