Summary
Chip’s gaze was far away and cloudy, as he gripped the railing of their ship staring off at the horizon. His hands were trembling slightly, and he seemed to sway with the rocking of the ship.
A minute passed, then a few more. And Chip gave no reaction to the world around him.
“Chip,” Jay said, hoping for at least some sort of answer, a hum, or even a tilt of his head. She put a hand on his shoulder, turning him slightly and shaking his shoulder, jostling him out of the stupor that he had fallen into. He blinked, the foggy look seeming to dissipate after a few seconds.

Summary
A title means a lot to a pirate — it is an indicator of status and wealth. The more people that know your name the more infamous you are — and Chip has a lot of titles. Some of them not so kind.
Some of those titles make him a target — even amongst his co-captains — the banished hero of the undersea and the runaway daughter of a naval vice admiral.
Chip's titles make him a street rat, easy pickings, an orphan with nowhere to go.He can only hope he's enough to fit all of them.

Wilbur’s eyes shoot open. The light is so dim he can hardly comprehend what he’s seeing, at first. Last he checked, he’d been falling asleep in Phil’s upper room; but then he sees the dot-matrix display, the same one he’d been glued to for thirteen years, and he knows where he is instantly.
“No, there’s no question,” the same voice calls. “It is you.”
(Wilbur falls asleep, goes back to limbo, and meets a couple of ghosts.)

Summary
"I'm coming," Phil told Fundy, hoping his voice would calm Fundy's clearly shot nerves somewhat. Phil was jokingly called Dadza for a reason, after all - he put his comforting presence to good use. The tunnels back to the middle of the arena were confusing, and Phil's brows furrowed as he tried to hurry back as quickly as he could so he could help his teammate.
Fundy's voice suddenly pitched up into something horribly scared, and Phil only caught the beginning of a word before Fundy's voice dissolved into a distorted and garbled mess that cut out entirely. The silence after was so, so loud.
"Hello?" Phil asked carefully, skidding to a halt as he strained his ears to hear. There was no response.
The team line was down.
That moment in MCC where Phil threw a harming potion on himself instead of healing, but make it decidedly...worse.

The thing is, now Wilbur is stuck in the middle of a town that is erupting into flames around him. Techno makes a call to someone. You have three guesses as to who it is. Guess.

Tommy went to sleep one day and no one else woke up. Instead, there were red vines and silence. A scorching sun and scorching air. Sleeping friends and no company. The egg had taken over the world overnight, and the only one immune to it was a sixteen year old boy still shaken by his own execution and resurrection. He has to care for his friends and enemies alike, rescue anyone he can, and grieve those he cannot. He has to become an army on his own- a farmer, a blacksmith, a doctor and a warrior. He has to face his biggest fears alone and come out stronger- or die forgotten and alone in the sea of red vines that has taken over everything he once knew.
But most importantly, he has to figure out how the hell to wake everyone back up.
