We know not where we wander now, only that as we fled from those who hunted us the eluvians sent us from the world that we knew Beyond. And as both you and Fen’harel walk the Beyond now, we can only hope that you may hear us and lend us aid in our dire need.

Bull rolled onto his back, then rubbed the base of his horn.
“You’ve gotta be shittin’ me, kadan,” he said. “You want to break into the fucking Fade? Not an expert on this Chantry bullshit, but pretty sure the last time some asshole magister tried that, we ended up with the fucking Blight.”Solas and Lavellan are figuring things out in the Fade. Her friends would like to have her back.

Felassan's mouth was warm and smoky and his hand stroked along Solas' jaw, his fingers trembling. It was blurred and yielding and shatteringly gentle, and Solas wanted to weep, but he could not because he was not supposed to be afraid.
Afterwards, they didn't speak of it. Nothing changed; and yet everything did.

The explosion at the Conclave damages the Veil irrevocably, and breaks open Elgar'nan's prison. Solas is still weak from his slumber, but if he does not find a solution quickly, great evil will be released upon the world. Working in secret within the Inquisition, he searches for a way to seal away the Blight and defeat Elgar'nan before time runs out.
Of course he cannot afford to be distracted by the elven woman who has become known as the Herald of Andraste - this would be the worst possible time for him to fall in love.
This is an Inquisition-era AU where the explosion at the Conclave goes even worse and Solas is forced to do a lot more plotting and scheming. Featuring secrets revealed earlier than in canon; some adventures in ancient Arlathan; plus an excursion to the Black City.

Set 8 years after Trespasser and 2 days before DAtV.La’v’el’lan retreated to the Temple of M’y’th’al as the bearer of The Well of Sorrows. Her contacts keep her up to date and she understands the gravity of the future. Probably better than almost anyone else. Determined to stay out of it, she gets a letter from her baby sib, Rook. Who is just about to go after Solas with Varric and some Tevene detective.
La’v’el’lan can’t leave her sib to face Solas alone and she’d rather retreat to the Fade forever than face her lost love. She’s moved on and has a loving relationship with Abel’as. She’s cared for as the Bel’lan’a’ris Dir’th Ghil’an’a, The Guide to Eternal Knowledge. She and her beloved have been trying for a child.
It’s not the time to go haring off into the north of Thedas to confront an elf who never listened to her before.
Faced with the choice of trying to help save the world again or staying where she’s safe and loved; La’v’el’lan might have a chance to help Solas survive taking down the veil. And maybe keep her baby sib alive long enough to get into even more trouble.Bookmarked by Dirthera15
