Summary
Yuna Hollander knows that it is normal for children to distance themselves from their parents as they approach adulthood. She expected it when Shane was a teenager, when he moved to Kingston for juniors, even later, when he moved to Montreal. When they stayed close, when he seemed happy to see them at his games, to have her managing his career, when he seemed not only to love them, but to still like having them around… When he invited her for dinner with his boyfriend and the four of them laughed until the summer sun dropped below the lake, she thought maybe this was one challenge of parenthood she would be spared. Which makes the day it finally happens all the harder to bear.
Or, Yuna Hollander and the joy and anguish of growing up.

The Wingmen are back for their first tour since 2012, and it’s probably your last chance to see iHeartRadio’s Throwback Song of the Year, “I’m Not Here (For Your Sister)” performed live. With the latest news about Sebastien Raine’s sudden departure from the once popular boy band, you might even be able to find a ticket to the sold-out shows, as long as you don’t mind that they’ve replaced Seb with some guy you’ve never heard of. (His name is Patrick Brewer, he plays guitar, and you really won’t mind, trust us). As if that wasn’t enough, rumors are also flying that Patrick may be taking over Sebastien’s place in the heart of the Wingmen’s most fashionable member, David Rose, after Wingnuts circulated photos of them sharing a steamy embrace. We’re still not convinced it’s love, but stay tuned for all the tour (and romance) updates.
OR a slow burn, fake dating but secretly in love musicians AU.

Summary
David and Patrick turn to couples therapy to navigate a challenging year in their marriage.
[This point of view of this story is that therapy can be helpful. There is no mention of infidelity, vastly different priorities regarding children or lifestyle, or serious consideration of divorce. See the tags for anything else that might be a concern.]

Patrick spends a week in January at his parents' fishing cabin, sorting through memories and trying to figure out if enough of his past remains to rebuild relationships with his family and Rachel, while not losing who he's become with David. David, of course, helps.

Summary
“Well I’m going to run some errands,” David says, brushing a stray bit of fuzz off his navy blue sweater. “But we’re still on for birthday dinner?”
“Yeah,” Patrick nods. He’s pretty sure David knows the annual birthday surprise party stopped being a surprise after year two or three. David doesn’t even inflict fictional catastrophes on the café as a decoy anymore. But Patrick plays along anyway. In some ways their whole partnership is built on playing along.
OR David and Patrick have been business partners for a decade until, on Patrick's 40th Birthday, everything changes.

Summary
“Do you wear a lot of blue?” she asks. Cindy, her name tag says.
She hands Patrick a pair of dark gray wire-frame glasses which he slides on until they hook behind his ears. And it’s not like—well everyone who knows him knows he likes blue. But he feels a little unsettled that this stranger picks up on it, like at she can see his whole life contained within the frames around his eyes.
“Uh, yeah. I guess so,” Patrick says, taking them off again. This pair, like all the others she has given him, is exactly right and completely wrong.
Or, Patrick gets glasses and thinks about identity. David helps.
