The question is not if he dies or not. If he died, would the reason for his suffering feel his pain too?

Or: Having lost everything, Saparata decides there is only one way to balance the scales. He will confront the one who shattered his world and make them commit the one act that will tear theirs apart: taking the life of the only person they ever truly cared about. And just maybe, that only person was Saparata himself.

Summary
On one rainy night, two soulmates were separated.
Light and Ryuzaki were each other's halves
Now the other was gone
Not long after, the other follows.
But Light gets transmigrated into a manga he remembers reading a few years ago. A system pops up, and tells him that it'll help the flow of the story– promising a reward, a wish that can bring back the dead, after the completion of the quest.
With little knowledge, will he be able to bring Ryuzaki back with the wish? Can the system truly be trusted?
(Basically, the minor ocs are literally Light [insert another surname that's not Yagami] if he hadn't quit tennis and Ryuzaki (L) if he weren't an orphan. The two are partners in tennis)

Summary
Bored beyond comprehension, Ryuk decides after seeing what humans do with the Death Note, to experiment with what would happen if a human lived their whole life with access and knowledge of the Death Note. This leads him to find four-month-old Light Yagami, whom he decides to use as his test subject and has a little fun.
Light's parents, as with anybody else, can't see Ryuk and thus think Light is possessed, so while trying to find answers, Soichiro turns to a young cadet for assistance taking care of his son.
Light grows up knowing he is different but rarely bored with Ryuk by his side throughout his whole life and having little interest in using the Death Note, training in Shinigami magic and learning the ways of the world instead. But things become interesting when, after multiple incidents regarding his secret, someone else with the Death Note begins using it as the mass killer known as Kira.
Add in a dumbfounded detective and a task force all aware of Light's situation and far past caring, and Ryuk knows he made the right choice because he's found plenty of entertainment, even though he has to fight the protective instinct he's developed towards Light.

Summary
For Freminet, taking the brunt of what he thought was an acid attack aimed towards Spina di Rosula's boss was nothing more than a split second decision. He wouldn't call himself a hero by any stretch of the imagination, and he wouldn't say he led his life with noble and virtuous intentions either...
...but when the urge to help someone comes to him, he ponders little over it. That's just what a good person would do, and Freminet desperately wants to be a good.
(Still, maybe he should have paid more attention to just what was being splashed.)
OR
Freminet dissolves into water. That really should have been the end of it, but it seems like the ocean wasn't keen on letting him go yet.

He realized after a minute had passed that this was not the all claiming heart attack he remembered. How many had felt that sharp taste of regret light had caused. How many had shaken desperately to live. Clawed at their throat, scrawled at the floor.
L hadn’t fought it.
Light did.
The vomit stained his desk, coating his room in the vileness of Kira.
Kurou Otoharada. He had died once more. Everyone on that scene who hadn’t been at danger. Had been claimed. Mauled by an animal, a monster.
Kira was back.
