Ponyboy Davis is not a Curtis. He is also not a Davis. His real name is Arthur Palm. And he's an ex cult member. The cult was the Rising Cross cult, a religious cult. Ponyboy's role? Sacrifice.
Ponyboy didn't want to be a sacrifice, so one night he ran. And ran. He notified the police, who notified the FBI, who notified... whoever comes next. Until Ponyboy ended up in witness protection.
And he was placed with the Curtis', who were threatened into it. If Darry didn't take Ponyboy, Soda would go to a boys home. They didn't know of his origins, all they knew was his cover story. That he was a JD.
Since apparently the cult wouldn't expect Arthur to be a hoodlum.
Fic is hopefully better than summary.

Twenty eight year old Ponyboy somehow manages to time travel to the year 1965, Tulsa. Just before Darry is about to yell at him for sleeping in the lot. While Ponyboy is now a twenty eight year older in a fourteen year old body, he notices how much different things were growing up. How obtuse past Ponyboy was to not able to tell what was right, and what was wrong. Sure, present Ponyboy isn’t a saint. But he learned. Ponyboy makes it his job to fix all the things that went wrong. Whether it’s Dallas and Johnny’s death, or events that happened after the books time of events.
Or
Future Ponyboy travels back and times and his main goal is to fix everything, but also reflects on his young life.

Dog Whistle is a heavily mental health and mental illness focused AU. This why, do interact at you’re own risk with the content, as in a basic summary ‘Dog Whistle’ follows:
-Ponyboy Curtis battling OCD [Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder] (diagnosed formerly as Obsessive-Compulsive Neurosis, thus what it’s referred to in the fic.) As well as an array of Eating Disorders while also struggling with the lack of resources and understanding during the time period while, having to recover due to the medical complications that could occur.
-Curly Shepard battling BPD [Borderline Personality Disorder] and Self-Harm while also adapting to the the changing family dynamic in his life, and Tim’s own Mental Health struggles- while he's also trying to overcome previous abuse while keeping all of his own struggles hidden.

And with that, came a familiar face, Curly Shepard. One he knew he'd missed and one he would grow to love. Ponyboy was ready to get the hell out of Tulsa but...
Fate had other ideas and sent him (And Curly!) straight to the past, normally someone would freak out and once calming down figure out how to save his dead friends, but not Pony. Ponyboy was used to adapting quickly and it was what had kept him alive, of course he'd start selling drugs with Curly!
Well... that was mostly for the money although he did find the rush fun.
Don't get him wrong, he loved books and writing and math and all that fun stuff butttt sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta... Yeah, no, Ponyboy just wants to have fun and save Johnny and Dally while doing it.

An in depth view of the closet scene plus what happens the following week.
Claire is determined to be better. She is determined to do better. And come hell or high water, she wants to stay friends with The Breakfast Club.
But fear is a strong emotion and uncertainty isn't for the faint of heart.
A deal struck in the closet with Shermer High's number one delinquent seems like a good idea at the time...but with only one week to really get to know him Claire isn't so sure she can withstand the pressure of her other friends. Then again, once you've cracked your mold the only thing left is to break it.
Claire slowly begins to look inside of herself to see the truth of her short sixteen years of life and honestly....she doesn't like what she sees. With John's aggressive coaxing and the devil may care way he lives, Claire braves stepping out of her box....be it for love or simple freedom, once she's out she can't really go back.

District 6's Ponyboy Curtis is reaped for the 65th annual Hunger Games.
With other tributes that seem very determined to hunt him down, and a struggling mentor, he's sure that he won't make it.
But he trusts himself to find reliable allies, anything that could possibly help postpone what he thinks is his inevitable death in the arena. He isn't sure when his allies end up being a shy-looking and quiet boy from District 12 and a seemingly untrustworthy male tribute from District 10 with a questionable past.
Yet soon enough, he is reminded that there can only be one victor.

You get to see his life slowly deteriorate, and see the truth behind how a large majority of chronically ill people are treated. We start in the summer of 1966, with Pony working his library job and dealing with his pain getting more prominent everyday.
