An abandoned town would suddenly be freed of the monstrous pest that had settled there, or a trade route would be cleared of the bandits that bothered any traveler or merchant trying to pass through- everyone knew what it meant.
The White Wolf kept them safe, and otherwise stayed out of their way.When yet another village on Ard Skellig falls victim to a curse the White Wolf could not protect them from, the only solution seems to be to bring in an outsider; someone with a different set of skills entirely.

The snow, it turned out, had come early that year, and a handful of frozen witchers ends up sticking around long enough to enjoy the Yuletide festivities.
