Summary
One Week after Humanity discovered the Quarians, the Turians attacked a science flotilla studying the 314 Relay. The subsequent The First Contact War lasted 3 months, and ended with the destruction of a Turian fleet at the hand of a nuclear warhead, and a populated human city obliterated by a Mass accelerator. The Asari intervened afterwards, and everything was hunky dory.
But what if it wasn't?
What if the discovery of the Quarians happened a month before, instead of a week?
Well I'll tell you. Over 20 years of war of which no side seems to be capable of winning. With the Quarians and later the Krogan clans on the side of Humanity, and the powerful Turian hierarchy pulling the reigns of Council power, what started as a short little war soon devolves into a galactic-scale war of attrition.
On Earth, an unlikely pair grow up in a world united by the war, but separated from it, while on Palaven, a young Turian is molded by it.
Eventually, as both sides become more and more desperate, John Shepard will have to fight tooth and nail to protect his way of life, while also discovering the truth behind his family's legacy. With Tali by his side, anything is possible.

Leviathan was much worse than in canon, and Taylor and Lisa are left trying to pick up the pieces of their lives and city in the aftermath.
The overall impetus of this fiction is that I really liked the warlord Skitter days, and kinda' wanted a version of things where they just didn't stop? And then I started writing it and it came out way gayer than I had expected, and I liked that.

Danzo had no doubt that things had changed since she had fallen into disrepair, but since she had no memories past her breakage, she had nothing to compare the Japan of now to. There were large cities, and smaller towns. Nobles, and peasants. Men and women and children. Farmers, shopkeepers, samurai, and the shogunate. Danzo took it all in, and tested her capabilities as she did so.
Caster of Limbo had fixed her in many ways. She could not compare her records to her past, but she felt smoother than before. Her speed was increased, her strength higher. She ran through her weapons systems and noted some additions that she did not remember previously having, but could not confirm didn’t exist before. Caster of Limbo had remade her, and as such, she would follow his orders and serve out his purpose.
His purpose was to destroy all this.

When Taylor triggered, she met a heroic spirit in limbo who out of sheer boredom offered her a chance to use her powers for her own gains, and really who was she going to trust more, Sir Mordred, or the creepy space whale that apparently wanted to violate her soul? Taylor honestly felt her choices were a bit limited if truth were to be told, but she'd never let Mordred know that.
