Summary
When Midoriya Izuku's quirk came in (a year late) he wasn't expecting for his life to fall apart. He wasn't expecting his quirk to be wings that bursted from his back in the middle of the night. He wasn't expecting his father to make good on his threats to leave. He wasn't expecting for his mother to start hitting him. And he never expected to be abandoned at a police station at six years old.
At age ten, Izuku found himself in a group home after too many foster homes had rejected him. There, he met Shinso Hitoshi, a boy with a worryingly similar story. They quickly found solace in each other, and soon after, began to sneak out together.
Three years later, the vigilante duo known only as Nightingale catches the attention of a particular winged hero as well as a hotheaded vigilante. The hero offers a roof over their heads, the vigilante offers them warm meals, and both of them offer love... but after so many adults have proved themselves untrustworthy, the offer seems far too good to be true.

Izuku has a quirk that allows him to turn into a cat, but as of now...He's kind of stuck like this, like a cat, for /months/. It's fine, though, it means that now he can't be chased by Eraser-Head! After months of running away from that man, he would never suspect he was a cat! He thought he cheated the system, except that being a cat—a kitten—is harder than being a human. And so he got pretty roughed up when a rock was thrown at him, and many other things piled up the same way snow or trash piles up on the street.

Summary
Shinsou and Bakugou were friends in high school, due to time and career, they’ve grown apart. That’s alright, life happens. Bakugou is gaining acclaim and rising in the ranks as one of the many heroes out in the spotlight. Shinsou goes underground, working in the shadows and undercover. So it’s been a while since they’ve even heard from each other.
When they do eventually see each other again, it’s not at all in a way either of them planned for or expected. Shinsou wasn’t expecting to scare the daylights out of a little girl while crawling into the spare room window of Bakugou’s apartment. And Bakugou wasn’t expecting to find his old friend bleeding on his adopted daughter’s carpet.
It’s unexpected, but not unwelcome. And seeing each other again, means facing old crushes they both swore they were over, and a very intuitive six year old that’s noticed all those soft little glances they give when the other isn’t looking. And she just wants her adoptive dad to be as happy as he’s made her.
