“You have me intrigued, Mr. Sunday.” There was a certain lingering affect to Aventurine’s expression that suggested there was more unspoken. Sunday felt the urge to look away, being caught in such a gaze, yet he couldn't bring himself to. He held Aventurine’s stare as he replied.
“Is that so?”
After the events of Penacony, Sunday came to terms with the fact that he will need to leave behind everything he has ever known. Yet some things are harder to let go of than others. Especially when a certain Stoneheart can't seem to let go either.

She looked nothing at all like Ellia, and the spokes of her halo, shaped like open eyes, were a clear and damning indicator of parentage.
"I didn't know," Sunday whispered, staring at the child while his heart did something complicated and painful in his chest. "I never knew."

Inside the cage was a child who seemed to be around 12 or 13 curled in on themself. That in itself was alarming, but what really made dread begin to creep through Aizawa’s veins was the state of the child. They were barely in anything at all, seemingly only wearing what looked like a pink lingerie set. And bruises, the child was covered in them. They were all over, but particularly concentrated around the child’s wrists and… on the inside of their thighs.

They spotted Sunday soon after stepping into the Party Car (Veritas very much did NOT recognize this car). The Halovian did a double take, looking up from the book he was reading, making direct eye contact with Veritas and Aventurine, then returning his gaze to the book. He muttered something to himself before raising his eyes again and smiling softly. “Gentlemen.”
“Mister Sunday,” Aventurine returned his smile.
An awkward silence stretched on before Sunday cleared his throat. “May we borrow your room for a moment, Trailblazer?” he asked, setting the book down.
“Sure. Don’t break anything,” Stelle nodded.
“I’m sure that won’t be a problem,” Sunday assured her, shooting an accusatory glance at the two visitors.Three enemies reconcile through unconventional methods.
