But, really — how were Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu supposed to know that goofing off and singing an old love song (poorly) was going to lead to triggering an incredibly minor Wife Plot, ah??? They just wanted to let down their hair a little and revisit an old meme for a laugh while no one was looking! Now they were up to their necks in snow, freezing their asses off.
Of course, the whole point of being Wife Plotted is for the love interest to get closer. Thankfully Mobei-jun and Liu Qingge are very capable men up to tackling the very hazardous job of being love interests to oblivious transmigrators. (If only someone would clue in the transmigrators to that.)

Two weeks ago, Duke was a Robin, leading a gang of others like him against the rising tide of petty criminals looking to exploit Batman’s absence. That’s recently changed, when the Robins trained by Batman came back to Gotham to get a handle on the situation, with mixed results. The Robins as a gang were scattered, most of them dropping back into civilian life. Duke Thomas isn’t among them.
Nightwing tricked him during their last meeting, using his nervousness around heights against him. He takes to the rooftops to rectify that and, during one of his rooftop runs, comes across a strange girl surrounded in the street.

It has been a long upheld truth of our great nation that after the twin falls of the disgraced Fire Lord Ozai and Princess Azula, and their subsequent imprisonments, neither of the two ever regained contact with our well-respected Fire Lord Zuko. While Fire Lord Zuko ensured the humane holding conditions of his estranged father and sister immediately after his ascension to the throne, he reportedly never saw a need to continue communications with them. Before writing this book, my answer to such an obvious statement would have been, "Blasting flames—well of course he didn't!" Now, though, my answer would be quite different. But best leave that til later.
Fire Lord Zuko, when questioned about such matters, only ever gave one answer in response, saying: “A true leader has no need for snakes and scoundrels. Dragons are far superior.”
Given his far more professional reply, it is no wonder that he was the fire lord and I am a less-than-humble scholar.

Two siblings learning how to be siblings for the first time via letters. And the scholar from a century later who found them.
