Lord knows he owes her a few solids, so he reluctantly starts meeting up with Dr. Rivera, a friend of Jessica's. Nothing's getting better, but nothing's getting worse, either.

Summary
What if the encounter with Elizabeth and The Creature went very differently? What if a bargain was struck?
An indulgent "What if" where Elizabeth is not entirely happy with the life that was laid out for her and after she agrees to be the creature's bride, she and her new "husband" begin to see things in each other that pull them close together.
Chapter 1-12 updated with a new scene added to chapter 4. Ch 8 has been polished and the tone changed a bit. Chapter 12 has been nearly completely rewritten Expanded on Elizabeth's inner turmoil. Other chapters to follow, some chapters may be re-written entirely. It won't be too different but I feel like the story needs some ironing out and there are some elements that need to be expanded on. Feedback is welcome!

Summary
I no longer claim to know why Victor said that I died that night. I believed once that I knew him, likely better than anyone in the world, but after that night we became strangers to each other in a way that we could not repair. Did he believe he was shielding his father and brother from a greater horror? Was it truly easier to face the notion of me dead, than me lost to him? Better a martyr, perhaps, than a saint defiled.

Summary
After their messy breakup Vanessa Torres and Miguel O’hara have been on less than speaking terms. Vanessa's departure from the Spider-Society leaving a stringing hole in the heart of the expansive group as their leader becomes colder and harsher than ever thought possible.
A year goes by before O'hara decides it's time to bring Vanessa back to work, but things won't snap back to the way they were. A year can do a lot to a person. She's no longer the warm and fuzzy Arachne she once was. And it's going to take a lot to coax it back out of her.
