Which brings us to the present. In an exclusive statement to IGN, Smosh is announcing their next game, to be released in Q1 of 2026. Bit City Blues– a gritty comedy adventure musical extravaganza –will be the first game fully independently produced and released by the studio since the original release of Food Battle in 2008. In an interview, Shayne Topp, the game’s Narrative Director, told us: “Think Jem and the Holograms meets Cyberpunk meets Repo, with the brilliant comedy you've come to expect from us and all the best parts of our past few games, from gorgeous art to innovative gameplay.”
Hecox echoed Topp’s sentiment: “It's the true culmination of everything we've been working towards for the past two decades, I think. There's this sense around the office that this may be our best game yet, and I'm inclined to agree.”

tommy bowe is the captain of our lady of perpetual sorrow's soccer team, and he's everything that spencer isn't. tall, serious, smart, and actually good at soccer. (he's also really, really hot. spencer can't tell if he wants to punch him or make out with him. probably both.) he's also spencer's biggest rival - because of course he is.

Spencer laughs, a clear and pretty thing, adjusting his position to lean against Tommy’s desk, knocking his thigh against Tommy’s knee. “You act as if I wasn’t about to tell you that you’ll owe me one for this.”

“It’s like he’s a superhero,” Tommy says, indignant because he can be. Because he’s been thirsting over this DJ guy for months now while planning to sleep with this other guy, but they’re the same guy, and that’s fucked. Tommy sinks lower into the couch, scowling down at his drink, “or a serial killer.”
“Oh please,” Amanda laughs, swirling the wine in her glass and raising an eyebrow, “he’s a radio personality, not Bundy.”
“But still,” Tommy whines, voice petulant. He raises a foot up to the couch, forcing himself smaller.
“He introduces himself like every thirty minutes,” Courtney adds, leaning forward and pressing hard on his arm, “It’s not like he’s keeping a secret identity.”
Tommy frowns, sips at the vodka soda Courtney made for him, and picks a thread off of his jeans. “He calls himself ‘Spence’ on the radio,” he protests but it sounds stupid even as he says it. He shouldn’t be this frustrated, but it’s… shit, it’s kind of embarrassing, okay? Like, c’mon, what are the odds there’d be two guys on the night show at the station named some variation of Spencer who he had banter with?

“Do you trust me?” Owen asked and Curt looked up at him. Owen is staring down at him intensely.
“No,” Curt deadpanned, lying through his teeth.
“Well trust me now, okay?” Owen asked, and he’s holding Curt by the shoulders, he never even noticed the other had grabbed him. The guards are getting closer and Curt has no idea what Owen is planning but dammit the other could use him as a human shield and Curt would let him.
So he nodded.

In theory, it should be easier the second time around.
Curt knows what Owen looks like when he's dying, after all. He's seen it more times than he would ever wish on anyone – each addition to the ever-growing list is both a blessing and a curse.
A blessing, because for some unconscionable reason that has Curt thanking a God he does not believe in, it means that he comes back. Owen comes back to him with acrid words on his tongue and spite in his heart, but he comes back. A curse, because each spark of hope that stirs in Curt's chest is swiftly crushed, stomped out with a steel-toed boot. Snuffed. A reminder that Owen is only ever given back to Curt in order to twist the knife in his back when Owen is inevitably ripped away again.
In practice: it is not easier the second time around.

"Surely you, the so-called Deadliest Man Alive have heard- I mean- I thought it was common knowledge!" Mega tilted his head back to look at DMA and grinned wide despite how much pain the action must have caused him,
"Spies are forever."
Taking on a mocking tone, he continued, "Besides, I'm not worried about someone who hides behind a moniker that makes him sound like the boogeyman."
Owen turned to face him and glared down at the smug face of his ex-partner.
The moment their gaze connected Mega's eyes went from crinkled and playful back to hardened and locked away. With a final once over he regained his upright posture,
"Gimme your best asshole, hopefully this hasn't been it." -

It hits Curt like a ton of bricks. He's going to have to sleep with a woman. Not only that, but he has to flirt with her, convince her to come back to his room with him, and keep her occupied for at least an hour. Flirting isn't the hard part. Flirting comes to Curt as naturally as breathing, something that's helped him keep his proclivities under the radar. If you flirt with everyone, no one can be suspicious. No, the hard part is what is expected of him once he gets her to his room.

Now he's pretending to marry his long-time crush Mumbo while also doing his best to ignore his growing feelings for their unexpected guest.
