It’s cannon that Astarion traded his body to Tav in exchange for protection, but this short anonymously requested fic is based off what if the dark urge knew it was a trade off and used Astarion to feed his dark desires.
I have added the rape tag as even though Astarion consents, it’s pretty clear it’s not truly consensual.

Summary
People often didn't truly understand why it was blood that vampires had to subside off of, what made blood special enough to sustain un-life. Blood, of itself, wasn't particularly nutritious, but it was the thing that blood stood for which is what made it suitable food for vampires. Blood, ever moving and full of life- something that which mortals could not live without.
Blood was certainly the preferred food of choice for vampires, but it wasn't the only thing that could sustain them. Blood wasn't the only mortal substance full of vigor and vitality.
In a pinch, semen also worked.

Summary
Cazador Szarr didn’t intend to turn a man like Astarion. That’s Aurelia’s working theory. Astarion—loud, prideful, panicky Astarion—was a crime of passion from a passionless monster. Astarion is a crime scene, not of a murder (murder isn’t a crime to a predator) but rather the crime of losing control. Aurelia is pretty sure Cazador couldn’t help himself. AKA: 5 times Cazador saw Astarion before he finally killed him.
