“You’ve heard the rumors,” Mustang says, looking at Ed over the top of his latest report, “about the angels.”
Ed scoffs and rolls his eyes, “Angels don’t exist, don’t be ridiculous.”
“Of course, of course,” he murmurs, gaze sliding back down, “There have been multiple eye witness accounts, however.”
Ed slouches into the chair and doesn’t bother to keep the contempt to from his voice when he says, “Don’t depend on anything with wings to save you. Things that were made to leave always end up doing so, in the end.”
“Yes, well,” he says, “sometimes they come back.”

Summary
Magnus and Alec, teachers in the same high school, get cast in the fall musical following backlash from parents because of a previous production featuring gay characters played by students. No one knows that they've been together for three years, but this might finally be the perfect chance for Alec to come out of the closet.
(The setup for this story is something that actually happened while I was in high school. Parents complained about their children playing gay characters in musicals after two years in a row featuring gay characters. Rather than scrap an entire production of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee due to the gay dad characters who are on stage for less than ten minutes, my school cast two teachers to play the part instead).

Summary
A series of short, interconnected stories about a certain teacher and his students, and maybe some surprise guests along the way.
Jonathan Sims, The Archivist, teaches a year 13 elective class on Paranormal Sciences, because the school board took one look at his resume, saw The Magnus Institute listed as a previous workplace, and went 'we have a better idea' for his History teacher application. His first batch of students are not what he expected in the slightest, featuring: Kyōryokuna ‘Ko’ James, the Collector; Dian Cooper, hypersomniac goth; Christopher 'Kit' Wilson, tired barista; Alex Pierce, amateur paranormal investigator; Zuri Jelani, local sceptic; and Duke Murdock, Slaughter avatar in the making. There are also mugs. A lot of mugs.
Tag along and have a blast in this sandbox of ideas I've started mucking about in. This is my chill project. It's really fun to write.

“He’s alive!” he hisses, almost defensively. “It’s not - it’s not Gertrude again, I didn’t kill him, he just – I don’t know what happened to him, I just found him in the stacks like this.”
“And you dragged him up here?” Tim says, and then registers several things at once – the build, the hair texture; the little round scars peppering a pair of thin hands and an awfully familiar face. “Wait, is that Jon?”

“When you hit the ground it didn’t look like you were breathing. I thought you were dead.” She says it like it’s a confession.
“I almost was. I could have been”
Azula is studying her fingernails, her eyes betraying nothing of her thoughts.
“And how did you feel?” Zuko asks after a pause. “When you thought I was dead, how did you feel?”
Her eyes snap up towards his, soft, wide. There is no malice in those eyes. They look like the eyes of a child.
“I don’t know,” she whispers. Her eyes are searching his, pleadingly. “I don’t know.”
Zuko looks at his sister. Sitting on the floor with him, her choppy and uneven hair freshly brushed and loose around her shoulders, dressed in an oversized cotton shirt, she doesn’t look like a threat. She looks sad, and small. For the first time in her life, Zuko thinks she looks like a fourteen year old girl.
“That’s okay,” he says. He wants to reach out to her, to wrap her in his arms, to stroke her hair and make her understand. He wants to so badly, but he is still afraid. The lightning scar on his chest still aches with a phantom pain if he thinks about it.Bookmarked by JuminHanButTomer
