“Hi Buck,” Chris says once he’s in frame and gives a shy wave that is frankly adorable, not that Eddie would ever say that out loud. Buck is similarly endeared going by the look on his face.
“Hey buddy,” he says.
Chris cocks his head to the side. “Are you in our kitchen?”
Buck pauses. “Uh, yeah.” He glances at Eddie then back to Chris. “I took over the lease for your dad,” he says. Eddie can hear the ‘he didn’t tell you?’ that he doesn’t say.
Eddie watches Chris carefully. He’s surprised when he sees his shoulders relax.
“Good,” he says with a nod. “It would be weird if there were strangers living there.”

Owen finds incredibly quickly that the words make it real. It’s as though someone has taken a 24-inch shovel to the front of his chest, leaving him breathless, scrambling for words. Even though Owen is more than aware that it’s not right, and that Curt Mega is likely sitting quietly at home, sprawled out on a pulled-out sofa bed, clutching a near-empty mug of hot chocolate – the words still make him panic. Just the thought of him being hurt is enough to stop Owen in his tracks, so hearing this aloud is utterly debilitating.
(And if he thinks too hard he can still see the way Curt’s body twisted under the fluorescent lights. The way they flickered as he twitched, broken limbs curled over broken limbs. The thought is sickening, and awful, and so very real.)

Monty found himself standing in front of a large window with a clear view of the night sky. As bright, bold moonlight washed over his face, a vivid memory danced behind his eyes, begging to be noticed.
The two used to stalk the sky for hours, pondering all the planets had to offer—especially Earth. They would concoct truly terrifying concepts but also awfully beautiful ones. In hindsight, the earth could never have produced anything as ludicrous as they hoped, but it was nice to dream.
They used to be so close. He despised thinking about it, how nearly everything reminded Monty of him.

And because Cas’s wings are fun to play with because they make Cas go a little crazy with how amazing it feels for him. So Dean thinks Cas would feel a little better about them if he preens them. So that’s what he does.
