Summary

Summary
Will Byers loves Mike Wheeler.
It shouldn’t be a big deal. Of course he loves Mike. He always has. But it’s never felt like this. It’s never hurt to think about it, but it also never felt like a revelation rather than a fact. It hurts, and there’s nothing he can do to ease the pain. He looks across the room at Mike and all he sees is beauty where minutes ago he only saw his best friend. He notices entire constellations in the freckles strewn across his nose, stars glittering in his eyes, and it all seems inevitable. He loves Mike. He loves him and it’s a foregone conclusion, a wish on a shooting star destined to burn out. He loves him and he can’t ever have him, not in that way, and there’s nothing in the world that can ever hurt him again quite like this.
OR: When the party dares Mike to tell someone he loves them for one hundred days, Will doesn't expect to be the unlucky recipient. He definitely doesn't expect it to consume his last three months in Hawkins. But like most things in his life, absolutely nothing goes to plan.

Mike’s eyes do that darkening thing again. “Yeah?”
Will nods. With Mike looking at him like that, he suddenly feels like his voice is going to give out. But after a moment, Mike’s expression lifts again, soft smile taking over his face. He nudges Will’s shoulder with his own. “Told ya it’d work.”
“I guess,” says Will. His own smile doesn’t quite reach his eyes.
Or, Mike helps Will make his co-worker jealous. Which, apparently, means covering Will in hickeys and making out with him.

Summary
When Will came out, he was relieved to be accepted by the people closest to him, especially Mike, and especially after Will made it clear to Mike that he was his crush. It was just a silly, stupid crush that really wasn’t about Mike at all. The best part is, Will got over it quickly, and they were able to laugh it off and remain friends. Things have been solid since he let those feelings go. That dumb high school bullshit is in the past. Their friendship is far too important to dwell on a crush that is doomed to be unreciprocated.
Imagine Will’s surprise when he catches Mike in a Chicago gay bar making out with another man.
Turns out, Mike is gay. So, what now? What is he supposed to do with this information? More importantly, what does that mean for them?
Friends? No thanks.

Summary
School is finally out for winter break, and Mike Wheeler is having a full-on crisis. Not only is he running into his “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” more often than he would like or expect, but he's simultaneously having to endure the excruciating experience of falling in love with his best friend.
…Of course, there’s also the fact that said best friend and Spider-Man are the same person, but Mike’s still figuring that out.
To put it simply, this Christmas is bringing him nothing but a mental breakdown.(Essentially, Will is Spider-Man, and Mike has no idea. For now, at least.)

"Now, I know you’ll resist," Mike blurts out, stepping toward him. "But I think this will be good. For both of us! For when we... you know,” Mike trails off, “When we get partners.”
Will scoffs, stepping closer to inspect the titles.
Spill or Sip and Truth, Dare, or Strip.
Or: Mike suggests a spicy card game to help Will loosen up before college. It works a little too well, and suddenly they’re gambling with unresolved feelings, and clothes, that were meant to stay in place.

“What ?” Mike yells. at the same time as Will gasps “You knew ?”
Mike turns his head so fast there’s an audible noise and looks at him , astonished , shocked - all the ways that he can think of to describe the way that he’s absolutely , utterly and completely flabbergasted.
Or : 5 times Will tries to go on a date and Mike ruins it by being there and 1 time Will realises the date is being ruined by his not being there.
Ft : a meddlesome Max & Lucas , a very jealous Mike and a Will who just wants to get over his straight best friend.
Too bad he can’t.

Summary

Mike Wheeler, 22 and recently forced out of his parent's basement, has just moved into the dusty small town of Crystal, Nevada. According to his friends, he's there to write his next big story. But unbeknownst to everyone, Crystal was just a last minute crap-shoot. After a big fight with his parents, he took off for California, hoping to make it to Los Angeles. But when his old Ford Pinto gives out after two days of driving, Mike has to decide between suffering in silence or swallowing his pride and calling for help from the one person he could always rely on.

Mike is that level of excited when he seems to be telling the story with his whole body, hands in motion, face going through a hundred expressions in a second, eyes glinting and very intense. The side of his face is lit by the 7 pm light from the window, that part of his hair a sunny fuzz. Then, two facts dawn on Will at once: 1) that might be his favorite version of Mike, and 2) this version hasn’t appeared in so long it feels like being hit and smothered by something really soft and warm.
‘Sounds cool,’ he says and Mike nods, and smiles, and rubs his hands, ‘so how’s ‘water’ again?’
‘Aekhel.’
‘And ‘fire’?’
‘Shangr.’
‘Shangr,’ Will repeats slowly, listening closely to the hissing sound. ‘Does sound like fire to me.’
That makes Mike smile even more, and the tips of his ears get a little pink. Eyes fixed and dark, but then he inhales, sharply.
‘Cool.’

After Vecna died, Will somehow inherited all of his powers, including his ability to manipulate people’s minds. In Mike’s opinion, Will is the sexiest person to ever live, but particularly when he uses his powers, and especially when he uses them on Mike. He loves having his head messed with, knowing at his core Will would never use his powers for evil.
Well, not much evil.

Not to be dramatic, but Mike was fairly certain he was about to die.
He’d survived demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, Vecna, actual interdimensional monsters - and now it seemed a staircase and a half-naked Will Byers were going to finish the job. He’d genuinely believed he’d at least make it to graduation.
Apparently, that had been optimistic.
