Summary
“You know, they say that T.V makes you violent.” Alastor said, voice drowned in the deep octaves of his demonic form. His teeth crunching down on the neck of the screaming demon within his grasp. Their cry of terror cut short, replaced with wet heaving gurgles. His impossibly long limbs carried him around the warehouse like some sort of eldritch mantis. Drool dripping from his mouth, black and thick enough to mimic the feel of coagulated blood. Pooling onto the floor in heavy wet splats. “But I’d say not having my T.V is making me pretty f̸͙͗́ů̶̼̼c̶̱̪̒̄k̴̝͌͜ì̷͈n̴̥̂g̸͇̳̾́violent.”

Summary
“I can’t do this anymore,” he whispered to no one but himself.
The words were barely audible, but they felt heavy, like a confession.
“I can’t keep waking up thinking about him. Can’t keep wondering where he is, what he’s doing, who he’s with. It’s eating me alive.”
For the first time in weeks, he was actually being honest with himself. He glanced up at one of the blank monitors across from him. His reflection stared back, stretched and distorted by the curve of the glass. He barely recognized himself. He looked… tired.
“What’s the point?” he asked the dark screen. “He doesn’t care. He’s not coming back. He doesn’t even want to know me anymore.”
The silence that followed was the worst part. It gave no answers, just reflected everything back at him.
But maybe there was still one thing he could do.

Summary
Alastor laughed softly, and Vincent swore that voice was crafted by an angel. “You’re interesting,” said the radio host. “The eyes, your voice, that smile… I like you. You should come around and buy me drinks more often.” He stuck out a thin hand. “Alastor.”
Vincent blinked, looking down at the hand. Of course he already knew who Alastor was, but this wasn’t Alastor introducing himself. It was Alastor wanting to greet him and know his name. He wanted to know who he was and talk to him more. Fuck, alright then.
The hand was grasped in a strong, professional grip that Vincent had perfected over the years. “Vincent.”
“Vincent. I like that name.” Alastor flashed a grin that honestly should have landed him a spot as the face of a news station, and with a voice like that, he’d be a hit.
“It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance,” replied Vincent.
“Oh, you wouldn’t want to be my acquaintance,” Alastor said with a dismissive wave of the hand. “People tend not to stick around when they’re with me. For their own sakes, of course. Walking alongside me can oftentimes be… hazardous.”

Summary
“What. The fuck. Did you do?”
Vox’s eyes snapped open. That was his voice. He hadn’t said anything though, had he?
He jerked his head up against his better judgment, vision swimming. The world around him was all wrong. Whether it was the result of destructive interference or his impact with the brick wall, something was fucking with his color and depth perception. Almost everything was awash in shades of yellow and brown. Meanwhile, his right eye refused to focus.
Something…moved on top of his head as he closed his right eye so he could actually see the figure looming a few feet away.
Blue. So much blue. It was blindingly bright against the otherwise drab colors.
Then it hit him.
He wasn’t staring at Alastor.
He was staring at himself.
“Oh, shit,” he breathed, jolting when Alastor’s feedback filled voice spoke the words.

Summary
"Vox stared up at Alastor defiantly, who found himself suddenly struck dumb by the foreign and sharp slash of the other man's sneer. It was not his television (charming, witty, lovely) glowing near cyan in the low light of his apartment---limbs tensed in preparation for a battle neither of them wanted to win---it was a stranger wearing his face (cruel, vulgar, foolish).
Vox snarled and stalked slowly closer, a veritable mess of sharp teeth, asymptotic angles, and liquid mercury. Tension hung thick in the air (a wave hitting the crest of its arc; a messy, foaming mass of potential energy), and Alastor felt his ears go flat against his skull as the other's signal flared painfully. Vox jabbed an azure claw into the vulnerable skin just above the deer’s heart, pinning him in place with a glare, one that was free of hypnotic spirals but no less transfixing.
“Then why not? Why do you hate him so much?”
Alastor’s tail flicked upwards beneath his coat, an unseen betrayal.
“Because you’re mine!”
or...
Five times in which Alastor's perception of Vox changed for the better, and one time where it all came crashing down.

Summary
“What’s a demon like you doing in an alley like this?”
Vox was across the length of the alley in a flash, his atoms scrambling themselves in his haste to get away. He rematieralised from his electric form to flatten his back against the grimy wall, claws digging into divots between brickwork. His eyes blew wide, the light of his screen casting a dim glow along the length of the alley as he swung his head back and forth, looking for the source of that—that voice.
A voice like a door inching open on a stray wind. A voice like a branch brushing against a tombstone. A voice like a floorboard creaking in the dead of night.
But no one was there.
~*~
A re-imagining of Vox and Alastor's first meeting in Hell that asks the question, 'what would their relationship look like if it was one-sided on Alastor's half?' The answer: not good for Vox.

Summary
When Vox begins coughing up flower petals, he is horrified to discover it is a consequence of this unrequited obsession with a certain Radio Demon. His priority is working with Carmilla on Angelic Security, but he’s also spending too much time making bad choices, being forced into deals, and getting mixed up with Alastor, which puts increasing strain on his working relationship — and friendship — with the other Vees.
The discoveries Vox makes are far bigger than him, with the power to determine Hell’s future. That’s if he can pull the right strings; if the Hazbin Hotel would just stop meddling; if he wasn’t brushing shoulders with this slippery word called ‘empathy.’
Heaven grows restless. The decades-old line between him and Alastor blurs further. Everything just gets… really fucking complicated.

Vox sniffed. “If you say so.”
“Don’t pout, Vox. Your face will stick like that.” Alastor winked and handed him a cupcake covered in blood-red frosting. Something suspiciously like an eyeball rested in the middle and Vox raised the baked good up to really study it. “Here. Have a treat – my treat. Ha!”
Vox scowled at the cupcake. “That’s a nerve, Alastor. There is an optic nerve on my cupcake.”
“Oops.”

Summary
“I don’t listen to the radio.”
And the man fell silent.
“What?” Was his reply, quiet, saddened, and if that didn’t shatter Vox’s heart.
Because the man wasn’t upset over the fact he didn’t know who he was (that much was clear when he clearly got happier knowing such information), but over the fact he didn’t listen to the radio.
