Chuuya’s feelings were completely justified, and of course he was right. Dazai was the one that had no right to be acting like this. She was the one that blew things out of proportion. The one that caused problems because she didn’t know how to face herself. And she couldn’t even give her boyfriend, the one person she loved and trusted more than anyone in the world, simple intimacy.
Going on estrogen was supposed to be a good thing.
It was supposed to make her feel better.

Dazai starts hormone replacement therapy and struggles adjusting. Chuuya tries to provide support, but there's only so much he can do when he's left in the dark. Neither of them feel prepared to navigate their shifting relationship.

Chuuya knows that he’s not much for romance. He’s never once experienced that strange phenomenon that Albatross calls “downbadism”, kind of finds people who do embarrassing, actually. He doesn’t need to hear all that shit—if he could, he’d personally get the dictionaries reprinted with PDA defined as private displays of affection and lose zero hours of sleep over it. He’s never even so much as felt jealousy over someone else’s attention. He just doesn’t work like that. Never has.
Or at least, never has until Albatross asks Dazai to be his babygirl-of-convenience for a moonlight con on his ex. That has a funny fucking way of changing things. For the worse, for the record.
Fortunately for Chuuya, neither Dazai nor Albatross are particularly interested in falling for their downlow maladaptive coping crashout frenemy. Unfortunately for Chuuya, neither one of them bothers to tell him that.

“Ah, I didn’t think a grown man could be so short! The more you know!” he smiled brightly, but Chuuya felt the tease in it. Who did this guy think he was?
“Fuck off,” Chuuya glared at him for a second but then decided to walk away before he picked a fight with someone at a callback. That wouldn’t look very good to the director.
But if there is a god out there, it must hate Chuuya because the freakishly tall actor decided to follow behind Chuuya, chatting as if he wasn’t just cussed at, “You know, I’m sure it’s not too late for a growth spurt! If you drink more milk, you never know what could-”
The ‘I’m not gonna punch someone’ plan failed.
