Dennis couldn't remember the last time he had been present in a space that wasn't cleaned of him. It might have had something to do with a more conservative upbringing, or the plethora of children inhabiting a house built for Christian magazines. White walls, white counters, white tile. If he'd stayed, he'd be wearing his white shirts, an outward manifestation of the clean body underneath.
Otherwise known as Dennis's religious trauma, leading to him living as a Beta. After Pittfest Robby got in contact with a therapist. He was surprised with how well it was going. He’d always been the type to express the need to talk about things to his patients, but he never took his own advice. Then after a conversation about his last vacation, his therapist suggests that equine therapy might be a good option for him. Little did he know he would meet his med student there, and strike up an unlikely bond.

Dennis and Robby meet at Dennis’ second job. Robby gets to see him in a different light, and against what they both know they begin to build a bond. One they’re determined to keep away from the prying eyes of the hospital.

James looked like a deer caught in headlights, fiddling with the empty beer bottle in his hands. Dennis motioned for him to move, and James complied immediately, like a dog responding to a command. With James out of the way, Dennis opened the fridge and grabbed two beers, handing one to James. "Yeah. I mean- sorta, I guess." James finally managed, his voice barely audible.
Dennis leaned against the counter again, closing the distance between them. James looked like a colt trying to find its footing, all awkward angles and nervous energy.
"Yes, or sorta?" Dennis asked, letting his voice drop to that low, flirty register he knew drove people crazy. For once, he felt strong, dominant, in control. It felt damn good.
He twisted the cap off his beer. James looked down at his own bottle as if just remembering it was there, then fumbled with the cap until it popped open."Um, yes," James admitted, still not meeting Dennis's eyes.
Dennis smirked, taking a long swig from his beer, then another. James took a tentative sip, and Dennis laughed softly. The sound made James finally look up. Dennis fixed him with those eyes, the ones he knew made people crazy. "Do you wanna fuck me?" he asked abruptly.
