Summary
Jiang Cheng wrote three times a year for over a decade and a half requesting that Lan Sizhui come and visit. Finally, at nineteen, arrived, having absolutely no clue why the sect leader would want him to come. Jiang Cheng showed him to his quarters, opened the doors, and said, "This was your father's room."
Suddenly, Lan Sizhui finds himself in the home of the father he'd forgotten, but surrounded by his things. With the relics left behind by a man shoved into shadows by an awful war, Sizhui has to figure out who his father was and why people refuse to say his name. Possibly, he and his friends might even bring him back from the dead.

"Keith, tell Shiro to pass the butter."The teenager in question rolled his eyes as he looked between Adam and Shiro before lowering his glass of milk. He thought that eating dinner with them flirting across the table was bad...Never had he predicted this could be worse.
"...Shiro. Adam says to pass the butter." He muttered and took a bite of his mashed potatoes. Shiro didn't even miss a beat.
"Keith, tell Adam to get his own butter." He said. Keith swallowed his potatoes.
"Are you guys really going to keep doing this?" He asked. It had been a whole twenty-four hours since 'the incident' and neither seemed to be backing down. Shiro shrugged. Adam ignored him, taking a sip of his wine before holding out his hand patiently for the butter. Honestly. Keith's life was the worst. Why was Adam even here? If they were fighting why did he come over? Nevermind. Adam thrived in chaos. Stupid question.
"Shiro says to get your own butter." He said and Adam hit the table.
"Well you can tell him-"
"Come on!"

It was Keith, mostly, who couldn’t handle the Castle for these endless days in space, but Lance had woken up a few times on his own, desperate for air, for space that wasn’t infinite blackness or the inside of metal walls. On Lance's few bad nights, Keith would trail after him to the pool, and they would float together in the water with their eyes shut.
Lance and Keith have been back on the Castle for three weeks, and yet they don’t feel like they’ve come home.
The rest of Team Voltron is somehow still missing Lance and Keith. These space cowboy mercenaries don’t quite fit in Paladin armour. They haven’t reached out to their Lions. They fight with a callous brutality.
On the darkest days, Pidge wonders if they even wanted to be saved.

Summary
Keith has done many things he'd never wanted to in order to render a result. Despite the brash fire of his youth, he values the bigger picture over his own personal comfort and desires. This is just one of those things, he tells himself, that he just has to do in order to keep moving forward. Any uncertainty that's budded within him in the past has long since perished, drowned out answers so definitive that unencumbered, could break his heart in two.
5 years, 4 months, 27 days. The Paladins have had more than enough time to carve out their places in this new and peaceful Universe. But Lance is struggling, Allura's absence growing greater in his heart as time passes, and Keith knows that he's near his limit of suffering. It's no small feat getting the gang back into the air as they leave on the 1st mission since the Lions have left, least of all when the supposed leader of the team is opposed. Keith hasn't seen Shiro since the wedding, and while he's glad to have the Admiral and his reliable husband on board, the past can't help but leak into the present. Most surprisingly of all, Lance has an ... unconventional solution in mind. He just may convince Keith to try it, or risk having to leave them both behind.

Keith is looking at him, his eyes wild and desperate. He’s yelling something but it’s muted and Lance can’t make it out. Keith looks scared, terrified really. He grabs Lance’s shoulders, still yelling but Lance can’t hear a word he’s saying.
“Keith,” Lance murmurs, brushing a hand lightly along his cheek, “I wish you didn’t have to die.”
