Summary
Grant is in love with Marco. His complicated life constantly threatens to get in the way of their relationship, but he has managed to find a happy medium while keeping Marco in the dark about everything D.A.D.D.I.E.S. related. He finds less success in his real concern: Marco finding out just how fucked up in the head Grant is. But when he loses track of Marco at a frat party, the worst happens. Grant's in-the-moment reaction triggers a domino effect of consequences.
Marco is in love with Grant. Their worlds don't always seem to align, but Marco knows what it's like to have a past that is better left buried, so he doesn't mind Grant's avoidence of family. Unfortunately, following the awful events of the party, Grant's strange habits become a source of tension between them. As time goes on and Marco learns more and more about who his boyfriend really is, he's forced to decide where his lines truly lie when it comes to Grant.

Simon brings Johnny closer to his chest, unable to tear his attention from the vacant look in Johnny’s eyes, or the slackness to his expression that’d never been there before, not even in sleep. He’s gone. Johnny's gone. Simon holds him tighter and dips his head.
A muffled whirring sounds from somewhere to his left.
And when Simon opens his eyes, it’s not the lifeless body of Johnny staring back at him at all. No, it’s a ceiling yellowed from smoke, it’s cloying damp eating through rotting wallpaper.

Maybe the man exists only in between sharp clicks of a radio button, between each "Ghost do you copy?" and "Copy that. Over." The more Soap talks to the mysterious someone, the more he realizes that Ghost is, in fact, a ghost - a phantom disappearing within the white noise of an old radio.

Summary
After a few years working together and Soap base-wide being considered the man to know Ghost best, he realises one night, not only does he know almost nothing, he's not impervious to Ghosts walls and stand-off offensive behaviors that border on self destructive. Much less be the cause of them going up as hard as they did. Soap realises just how complex Simon is and how many layers that mask truly holds and how many faces lie underneath in order to keep the remains of his heart protected.

Soap took a deep breath to try to steady his nerves, "Ah, are you conscious or unconscious?"
"Let's say unconscious, new arrival so no sensory or sleep deprivation as of yet. What is the first step?" He hadn't moved, arms crossed against his chest and eyes not giving away a damn thing.
"Securement." He was confident in that answer at least.
"Alright, Soap. Secure me." With that, Ghost stood his full height, dropping his arms at his sides.
Fuck. This was going to be more difficult than he thought. It felt incredibly wrong to stand here and imagine how he would tie up his superior.

Johnny looked at him like he had gone mad, and Ghost resisted the urge to fidget. Few people could throw Ghost off his game the way the Sergeant did, but the surprise on the man’s face did something to his stomach that he decided not to think about. “I- uh. You sure, LT? It’s a lot of work,”
Mother MacTavish said something again, and Johnny pulled his phone back to his ear, still watching Ghost as if waiting for him to deliver the punchline of one of his terrible jokes. “Yeah, I’m still here, sorry Mam. I, uh, might have a helper. Would it be alright t’ have my uh, Lieutenant come help?”
More chatter. Johnny’s mother sounded… loud. But Johnny grinned. “A-aye, that one, Mam. Aye, alright Mam, we’ll see ya then. Get th’ guest room up?” The response was distinctly scolding, and Johnny bit his lip to suppress another smile. “Aye, love ya too. Tell the girls hi for me, aye?” When the call ended, Johnny set the phone down on the cot beside him and looked at the masked man still standing awkwardly in his room. And he smirked. “So, LT. You ever worked with sheep?”Oh yes. He had made a terrible mistake.
