Gyuvin: a fledgling Vampire who was born as a creature of night, struggles to grasp both his inhuman and mortal self. He doesn't trust the very Human boy who's made his way into his and his family's life, choosing to watch over Ricky from afar… but he doesn’t understand why he can't look away.

Summary
Ricky tries hard not to look at Gyuvin’s toothpaste-foam-grin in the mirror. He tries not to wonder if Gyuvin also has butterflies and fire in his veins when they cuddle, especially just now, or if he was just mindlessly scrolling on his phone, completely unbothered.
Ricky tries and tries and tries.
He fails.
After Ricky accidentally leans too far into Gyuvin's chest and Gyuvin insists on Ricky staying there, Ricky starts to overthink. Surely cuddling like that isn't just platonic? Surely he isn't the only one experiencing butterflies?

“It’s your last day here,” Gyuvin protests, scrambling up from his seat too. “I should be paying.”
Ricky’s card gleams between his fingers like the edge of a knife, blindingly fast. Almost seems to cut into his flawlessly-manicured nails the same way Gyuvin’s feelings slice him apart. “You can pay next time.” Gyuvin can’t help staring. Doesn’t think he could stop himself even if he wanted to. “When I get back.” Rosy cheeks, scarlet lips, dark eyes. A suffusion of screaming colour flung against the blank white walls of the restaurant. The stars glitter in his veins. “It’ll give you an excuse to take me out.”
Gyuvin jolts like he’s just been shot. Ricky smiles—slow, soft, sweet, as if he’s known all along.

Ricky makes a whiny noise in response that sounds a little too much like a wounded animal. They both snicker after a beat, but Gyuvin can hear the pout in his voice that only makes him want to be even more annoying, because if he was being completely honest, he finds Ricky’s reactions absolutely adorable.
