So what started off as what was intended to be a one-shot has now turned into a whole AU that has somewhat of a focus on Matt and Anna's relationship, and Anna herself, with most of the stories being from her point of view.
To the disappointment and dismay of any Matt X Anna shippers out there (assuming you people even exist in the first place), their relationship is not romantic, but instead, platonic (although Anna does have a one-sided crush on him).

Summary
After waking up from a near death experience and a failed mission, Wren tries to adjust to the changes in his life as he realizes that the organization he works for, Halcyon, holds more secrets from him than he’s able to tolerate.
On the other side, Player’s life gets thrown out the window as they get rescued by their former enemy from Wren’s attempt on their life. They only manage to hold themselves together just enough to pursue the destruction of the people that wronged them.
As the two opponents of this shadow war work towards their separate goals, the underlying mysteries about their lives and their pasts begin to resurface.

After having met the notorious black-and-white witch of the Forest of Magic, the thieving swordsman Matt and the fiery Kitten Kingdom rebel NoLegs continue trekking through the magic-infused soil and trees of the Forest of Magic, hoping to reach the Human Village before nightfall. After quickly disposing of some foes from their world, the kleptomanic duo suddenly find their paths blocked by the witch they had met prior, who seemed very much peeved at the cat's audacity for trying to steal her own spoils...
This here's a take on one of my fellow author's fight scenes in his own fanfic! I admitted that it felt a little lacking - makes sense, he's still new after all - and asked if I could make my own version. He agreed, and I ended up writing this in the span of like 10-12-ish hours, with some sleep in-between. He's also approved of me sending this thing as its own standalone work!
Please go support his work! He's still rather new to writing and would likely appreciate some constructive criticism (though, tbf, I'm just as much of a newbie as he is lmfao).

Gaia is captured by Stronghold 5-5 as opposed to being mercilessly beaten to death with shovels. (sensei, what the fuck?)These snowball into a series of events that eventually leads to the Dominion's military situation taking a turn for the better. Only time will tell if this is a good thing.
Features attempts at worldbuilding, characterizing Stronghold 5-5, and giving characters that were done dirty by the lore some justice (the entire Dominian race, all of the bosses).
