Summary
This must be some kind of horrible joke at Castiel’s expense. Is he truly expected to protect a King? One who has been their enemy for as long as he can remember? He is much more suited to being a part of the army, or at the very least someone who helps to train the knights. That would be far more preferred than having to watch over the King. It means Castiel would get to keep fighting – and that’s the only way he knows to give meaning to his life.

Don’t get him wrong, Sam is a thirty-two year old man, and his brother is a thirty-six year old emotionally constipated idiot. He isn’t getting any hugs to begin with, at least, not any that aren’t brought about by unexpected resurrections or terrifyingly close calls with the Grim Reaper. He isn’t some clingy, needy little kid, desperate for his big brother to wrap him in his arms after a nightmare and tell him everything will be okay. He isn’t.
But with Lucifer out of the cage and Cas as his meatsuit, he can’t help but long for the days when he was allowed to be.

Dean discovers a few truths about himself when he and Cas are forced to go undercover on a hunt to the very last place Dean ever thought he'd find himself: a gay resort called "Last Hope" that is geared towards helping troubled homosexual couples repair their relationships.
Warnings: m/m sexing, gratuitous use of OC's that sadly resemble real people (but aren't Mary Sues!), humor and inappropriate homosexual stereotypes. Can a Michael Rosenbaum look-a-like be a warning? Well, I think he needs one... angst, because, yeah, this is ME we're talking about, some language and violence.
Author's Notes: This was written for this years BigBang, but due to hospital stays, I didn't get it complete in time for this weekend's deadline. I have 90 percent complete and there is no way I can sit on this for another year and I missed the sign ups for the Dean/Cas BigBang, so... I'm just gonna post it up here and be done with it! Summary
When Dean stumbled into his tavern, half dead, five weeks ago, Cas had no idea how deeply the boy would burrow his way into his heart.
He also had no idea that there'd be a day he'd wake up and find Dean gone.
Cas is strange, and quiet, doesn't like talking to people. He has rarely ventured outside of his inn, and never traveled beyond the nearest town. He's liked it that way, knowing how cruel people can be, knowing that with his....social difficulties, he's easily taken advantage of.
But Dean is even more vulnerable than he is. And now he's gone, having disappeared in the night. Cas can't let him vanish into thin air, can't abandon the boy to the world that has treated him so cruelly.
The outside is not a place Cas is comfortable venturing into. But it is where he's going to have to go, if he ever wants to get Dean back, and make sure the boy is safe.

Summary
