Jill stares at the table in the middle of the room, eyes hard, ears flat, voice cold, "They call them operation theaters. But - " She aborts her sentence, the words "It's more like a torture chamber" hanging in the air as the thing in the cage shifts again, it's breathing ragged. [...]
"It's -" Chris starts, voice low, heart aching as he catches a glimpse of blue, terrified eyes, "A man." A man, yes, but a young man. A boy.

He sounds grim. That's never a good sign, but Leon's focusing too much on the jelly his knees have turned into to give it much thought. The bed is empty.
For a moment, Chris thinks he has the wrong room. He almost goes to check the room number again before his eye catches the blanket crumpled at the foot of the bed, haphazardly strewn over the side and spilling onto the floor. Various leads and sensors from the monitors connect to nothing but the pillow they're resting on, their screens black— no beeps or hums or alarms. An IV line hangs from the bag on the pole and leads his gaze down to the floor where the needle rests in a puddle of fresh blood.
"God damn it, Leon—"

There is a silence. A very, very loud silence. Phoenix revels in it for around 39 seconds, under the impression that he has finally achieved the impossible task of stamping out Miles Edgeworth’s obnoxious ego; but on the fortieth second he begins to think, did he fall asleep?, on the forty-first he thinks that something might be seriously wrong, and on the forty-second he realizes that something is, because the last words that came out of his mouth could very easily be misconstrued as an invitation. Or an innuendo. Or all of the things except what it actually is.

Phoenix and Miles are working on a case. It’s very late, delirium is a very powerful drug, and honestly, who gave Phoenix Wright permission to open his mouth and say words past 9pm?

It's even funnier when you consider that he was sitting on his couch with a bottle of wine in his hands, staring at the ceiling as the fan spun.
