Summary
Dumbledore doesn't make it in time for Harry's trial, and the outcome is very different. Harry is expelled, his wand snapped.
But he refuses to give up. And he is done waiting around for Albus Dumbledore to give him information.
Deciding to take his life into his own hands, Harry asks for training from several Order members, preparing himself to fight Voldemort while the whole wizarding world believes he's helpless and back in the muggle world.
Meanwhile, his friends are at Hogwarts, tackling their own problems in the form of Dolores Umbridge. Harry hadn't expected the separation to be so difficult - or for a certain mischievous redhead to make the waiting game they'd entered into so very excruciating.
He might have lost his home in Hogwarts, but with Sirius and Remus around, Harry begins to learn that rebuilding a family isn't as hard as he'd anticipated.

Summary
“I don’t hate you,” George murmurs. He realises as the words leave his mouth that they’re the wrong thing to say. Sure enough, Sapnap scoffs.
“Whatever, George. I don’t really give a shit any more. I’m over it.”
He’s very obviously not over it, but George isn’t stupid enough to provoke him further right now. Instead, he turns the music up, up, drowningly loud.
I love you. The sentence sits in his mouth like a lozenge, harsh and saccharine. He swallows it slowly, the sharp bitterness lingering long after it has been dissolved. He can taste it. He can taste it on his tongue. He can feel the sugar sinking into his teeth.
He just needs to figure out how to get it past his lips.

“George,” Sapnap says. All the other things he wants to say clamour together, making it impossible to say anything.
“What,” George says, like Sapnap is deeply inconveniencing him.
“George,” Sapnap repeats, steadier now, teasing a little.
“What.”
“George.”
“You’re stupid. You’re actually stupid.”
“If I’m so stupid why do you wanna kiss me, huh?”
“For practice,” George says vaguely.
“Practice.”
“Yes. Practice. For you. Because you need it. Desperately. Tragically.”

“Hi,” Sapnap says. “You having a nap?”
“I’m having a lollipop,” George says, taking it out of his mouth to display his carmine tongue. The candy is heart-shaped, the shape starting to wear away, edges melted into George’s mouth.
“Lollipop,” Sapnap says, mocking his accent. He’s hovering awkwardly, torn between going somewhere else and just giving in. “It’s called a sucker, idiot.”
“You’re a sucker, idiot,” George says. It’s an offer. A tease. A suggestion. It’s lots of things, as often occurs when it’s George, who is diamond sharp and hard and pretty and multi-faceted, coal-black eyes and a smile as sweet as a canary’s song. He’s poison gas as well, and Sapnap succumbs without a fight.
“Sure,” he says. “Your room?”

Summary
Sapnap waltzes in about a minute before rehearsals starts, grinning cheerfully like he doesn’t even care that he’s the worst soloist in existence, irresponsible and undeserving and downright annoying as he laughs and smiles at everyone except George.
As always, he’s in his typical stupid basketball shorts and anime hoodie combo, and as always George glares at him the whole time he’s unzipping his case, adjusting his shoulder rest, setting his violin back down to shuck off the hoodie, revealing more anime merch and, for a fraction of a second, a sliver of skin.
George wrinkles his nose as Sapnap jogs to his spot, right next to George. He shouldn’t get a chair, in George’s opinion, given that he’ll be standing during the actual performance, but at least he’s dropped the music he’d needed last week, having finally deigned to memorise the piece. He’s the sort of person who would just chug out countless repetitions during an all-nighter to set in the muscle memory. At least said all-nighter wasn’t the night before the concert.

George is like a dog, these days. He relishes the still-fresh closeness, traipsing after either Sapnap or Dream, always nearby, watchful and cheerful. While Dream gets sweet smiles and gentle teasing, Sapnap gets mean grins and all his insecurities stripped down to the bone and gnawed on relentlessly.
When he reaches his room, he turns to George and says, “Stay out.”
George doesn’t. He slips into Sapnap’s room a second before the door slams.
“George,” Sapnap says, fighting to keep his voice steady and stern, jabbing his finger towards the reopened door. "Get out of my room. Now.”
“Why? Are you going to jerk off?” George laughs.

Summary
Karl is lounging slumped on his sofa, some random show playing on his tv, while he absently scrolls twitter. He's not paying much attention to it, more focussed on the show, until he sees a video captioned Dream talked about his Soulmate Mark!!!. The clip seems to be a snippet of Dream’s space from earlier today, Karl saw people talking about it along with the selfies Dream posted of him with his new handmade W-key earring. Karl's never been particularly interested in soulmate marks, but he is very interested in Dream. He turns up the volume and listens curiously.
“‘Did you choose the W because it matches your soulmate tattoo?’ Well it wasn’t my main reason but yeah, I guess it matches. Mostly it's supposed to symbolise winning, and moving forward! I think — I think it’s cool. And it kinda represents me. I guess the — the mark also ties into that, yeah. It... represents me, I suppose.”
Karl watches it through three times, and then flicks over to his messages and calls Dream.

George, unfortunately for a distressed Sapnap, is stubbornly insistent to know why he's acting weird.
Sapnap isn't about to tell him about his pathetic crush, on him, until he offers some advice Sapnap can't pass up. He knows it could ruin them, but he takes that chance anyway.
