Judging by his outfit, he's likely apart of the circus. He seems to be maintaining his composure, the only giveaway to his annoyance is the way his eye twitches from underneath the mask. Without thinking, you pull the old fart away from the circus worker, which earns you a cane to the shin more than once. Eventually, the geezer ends up walking off angrily grumbling in the near distance.
You offer your hand for him, however the performer doesn't take it, instead he slowly pushes himself off the floor and begins to tidy his suit. He dips his head and tilts his tophat as a form of recognition. "Thank you, kindly passerby." there's an awkward (atleast it is for you) beat where he just examines you under his gaze. You're the first to speak up.

Everything Wine ever did was for Queen Toriel. He devoted his life and work to her, carrying out any and all tasks as the Royal Gaurd captain. Now that he's been forcibly discharged he doesn't know what to do with himself.
In an attempt to keep himself busy, he visited the local Snowdin library. At the very back of the library is a dusty book, filled with information about gods from a variety of time periods. Wine he made a promise to himself that whatever god it landed on, that would be the one he devoted his time time.
Flipping the old pages, it landed on a god whom was thought to bless coffee bean crops and allow vines to prosper over the land. Wine quickly went to work, making a small alter in his living room.
Little did he know there would be a more drama then anticipated when it comes to old, dying gods.

The void stirred, unseen currents rippling outward.

The orb trembled—but did not retreat.
“Very well,” the figure said at last, lifting a hand that was more concept than flesh. “Then you shall be reborn not as you were… but as something closer to what you wished you could have been.”
Light surged. Symbols—ancient and blinding—etched themselves into the darkness, spiraling around the orb like chains made of scripture and flame. Feathers formed from pure radiance, only to burn away and reform again, sharper, brighter.
