When it comes to the whole Hermits vs helsmets thing, Welsknight can, nine times out of ten, say with confidence, he's the good guy. The Hermits are all, barring a few hiccups from time to time, objectively good people. Helmets are the opposites of Hermits. Ergo, helsmets are evil. And if he didn't have logic to prove this, he had Helsknight. Helsknight who, as soon as he had the wits to start making his own identity, immediately started orbiting Welsknight like the most destructive, malicious moon might tear up the atmosphere of a nearby planet. He was mean, vindictive, cruel, heartless, brutal, and worst of all, perfect. Perfect form with the sword, with his knightly duties and tenets, hels, even when their fights were more philosophical, he always seemed to have the perfect argument. There was something uniquely insufferable about fighting a perfect enemy. Grinding.

His eyes flicked up to meet Legundo's one functioning eye. Owen’s skin felt cold and damp from the sweat he had worked up by swinging the axe. "Fine, just....tired."
The doctor took a step closer. Owen didn't flinch, didn't move away, and that lack of reaction is, perhaps, what sealed his fate. Something flickered in Legundo's eye, something dangerous and not quite human.

He couldn't help but wonder what Owen's blood tasted like; was it gross from the illness and malnourishment? Was it sweet simply because it was Owen's?

"Are you alright?" He asks, his voice deceptively steady. Apo can hear how his pace quickens. His heart pounds endlessly against his ribs, like a rabbit caught in a trap. It draws Apo in like a siren's call.
Skin tears as Apo curls her hand into a fist. She digs her claws in as deep as she can manage, the pain keeping her grounded. This is the middle of town, she reminds herself. Keep it together.
"Just— getting something to eat." She forces out.

“It won’t work.” Owen crouched near the door to the cell. The place smelled of silver and grime, making him wrinkle his nose. The thin bars of the cell made it easy for him to see the doctor. “It takes more than that scrape to kill a vampire.”
Legundo didn’t look his way. “I said get out.”
“Protective of your prison, Doctor?” He pulled a bottle of crimson out of his pocket, offering it through the bars. “Starvation won’t kill you either.”

He tells himself he just wants the advantage of taking the town's doctor, but why is he so concerned for the new fledglings wellbeing?
