Tommy Innit may not be the most well-behaved kid or even the best person at times, but he certainly deserves better than to be abducted by aliens. Luckily for him, the aliens didn't seem to expect him to be able to break out of the stupid cage they stuffed him in and destroy their ship from the inside out.
Now he just has to figure out where to go from here.

Summary
Phil’s eyebrow twitched with irritation at the continued accusation. Finally, he grabbed hold of his son’s shoulders and held him in place, forcing him to stare into his eyes. “I’m not a monster, Wilbur. I am your father!”
“No!” Wilbur kicked his feet out, but Phil managed to draw him into his chest and lock him into place by holding his head into the fabric of his clothes, his shirt still moist with this timeline’s Phil’s blood.
“Listen to me, Wilbur! I’m here to save you!” he said through gritted teeth, as it was quite the effort to keep the rambunctious Wilbur still. He was always moving, and it was impossible to keep him down-- it was like pinning a wave to the shore. That was how Wilbur got into most of his messes.
He picked him up and started down the hall towards the study, eager to get his hands on the Time-Retriever. His son was inconsolable.

Or, eager to learn how to fly, Wilbur falls out of the sky. Phil will do just about anything to bring his boy back, even if it means losing himself in the process.

Summary
So, Tommy was pretty sure he was in a video game.
How he came to that conclusion, you might ask?
Oh, well, you know, he just went to sleep one night in the bedroom he shared with the two other kids at his latest foster home, clutching Henry to his chest and trying to ignore the snores from the bed across the room – and then woke up somewhere else. In an alley. A fucking dirty alley overflowing with trash, he might add. He was pretty sure he’d even heard rats scattering around somewhere. It also had been winter, the morning air cold and quickly seeping through his thin pyjama. The only other thing he’d had with him were Henry and his blanket, laying on the ground.
You know, just your typical Tuesday.
OR
Tommy wakes up in a world where the new video game everyone is talking about is *very* real. That includes the three main villains, heads of an organization called ‘The Syndicate’. But it’s totally fine! He just has to make sure he never meets them – he’s got a feeling they won’t be pleased about another crow hybrid in an otherwise hybrid-less world.

Tommy gulped hard. This wasn't good. Something was fishy here. Like there was an overlay or something, barely visible over the reality. Or was this a reality? This didn't feel natural at all, causing Tommy severe goosebumps.
"Don't worry, we'll take good care of you."
"It's so lively now. We won't be alone anymore..." A feather-light kiss landed on the woman's skull.
A soft giggle carried through the house.

But as time goes on, Tommy begins to wonder about future Tommy, who doesn't seem to have been living a happy life. Tommy has no consecutive idea as to why he agreed to babysit for his best friend(s?), still recovering from the cumulative amount of damage both physically and mentally dealt to himself and reasoning against spending time with both causations of his frazzled mental state. Looking after the small little zombiefied piglin was somehow not part of the docat.
Or - Tommy suffering through having crushes on people who've caused him anguish, rebuilding relationships, and surprising everyone with the fact he does indeed know how to take care of a toddler.

It was a choice Tommy had never once regretted.
But maybe, if he had chosen to die on that ship instead of joining Wilbur, maybe he could have avoided the heartache.
Maybe he wouldn’t be slowly dying now.
Maybe Wilbur would still be alive.
But there’s no point in 'maybe' anymore. Because the fact of the matter is that Tommy joined the crew of The L’Manberg that fateful night and in doing so set up the chain of events that killed Wilbur Soot.
That’s his only regret.

"Tech please," Tommy begged with tears in his eyes, trying to catch his older brother's gaze, "Please don't leave me," he tried, grabbing at Technoblade's shirt pleading for comfort. But Techno didn't listen, he couldn't. Instead, he cradled his head in his hands his anger boiling to the surface, and ripped Tommy's hand from his shirt before roughly snatching his little brother's collar, pulling him up to his own height with the voices raging in his mind. Demanding blood.
"I told you to stay behind!" Techno seethed with unfathomable fury. Tommy struggled while he sobbed. Missing his brother's kindness and patience and love. He didn't want his brother to be mad at him. He didn't mean to upset Technoblade.

Wilbur would have to call the lovely old lady from whom he had rented the apartment. She had been helpful when Wilbur stumbled in with a screaming toddler. He would miss her, but Wilbur needed to keep Tommy safe and himself alive. Thankfully, the lease was going to end at the end of the month, and Wilbur was already preparing to move on to another city (six months was pushing his luck, especially with how many resources the Syndicate had compared to Wilbur. There wasn't exactly a "shit the Syndicate is after me and I need help" hotline.)
"Right, we can stop the night in Snowchester and get you some McPuffy's," Wilbur mumbled to himself as he glanced at Tommy through the rearview mirror.
